Raffles The Palm Dubai Is Palatial In Every Detail

Raffles The Palm Dubai brings grand European design, a private Palm Jumeirah beach and a remarkable collection of restaurants and wellness facilities together under one ornate roof.

Raffles The Palm Dubai makes a grand first impression

Raffles The Palm Dubai is a beachfront resort for travellers who appreciate a little theatre in their surroundings. Portuguese marble, hand-finished furniture and a lobby chandelier scattered with 40,000 Swarovski crystals set the tone from the moment you arrive.

Beyond the entrance, the mood softens. Palm trees frame the outdoor pool, the private beach stretches towards the Arabian Gulf and balconies open towards Dubai’s skyline. The resort sits on the western crescent of Palm Jumeirah, around 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport, with the city’s shopping, dining and landmarks within easy reach.

You can spend the day between the beach and the pool

The resort’s private beach gives you a generous stretch of sand for slow mornings, while the outdoor pool offers a quieter place to read, swim or order something cold. The beach is home to 500 metres of pale sand, imported from the Maldives – an appropriately extravagant detail for a property that rarely does anything by halves.

Families have plenty of space to settle in, with a children’s pool, playground and The Young Voyager Kids’ Club. The club’s programme combines play with art, nature and culture, giving younger travellers something to do while adults make the most of the beach, spa or dining room.

There’s also an 80-seat private cinema on site, with regular screenings for adults and children. It’s the sort of unexpected extra that comes into its own when the afternoon heat calls for an indoor escape.

The rooms pair Palm views with handcrafted details

Accommodation at Raffles The Palm Dubai feels deliberately spacious, with private balconies, marble bathrooms and interiors shaped by classic European design. The Premier Palm Room with Balcony measures 62 square metres and looks across Palm Jumeirah towards Dubai Marina and the city skyline.

For more room to spread out, the 75-square-metre Raffles Club Palm Room adds access to the Raffles Club Lounge and furniture by Francesco Molon. The Duplex Suite takes a more theatrical approach, with double-height ceilings, a mezzanine bedroom and views over the royal gardens.

The 110-square-metre Signature Suite Palm brings together classic fabrics, crystal chandeliers, handcrafted furniture and a balcony facing the Palm. Whichever room you choose, the resort’s 24-hour butler service adds a quietly personal layer to the stay.

You can eat from Japan to the Amalfi Coast

Dining is one of the resort’s strongest reasons to stay put. At Piatti by the Beach, Southern Italian cooking arrives in a setting inspired by the Amalfi Coast, with the Arabian Gulf beyond the terrace. Come for a long lunch, return for dinner and let the sea air do some of the work.

Matagi takes the evening in another direction, serving modern Japanese flavours in a more intimate setting. Le Jardin is the all-day dining restaurant, with international dishes served beside the gardens, while Raffles Patisserie focuses on French and Italian pastries.

For a slower afternoon, settle into Blüthner Hall beneath the room’s signature Louis XIV grand piano. The lobby lounge serves afternoon tea, light meals and drinks, accompanied by live piano music. The name comes from the bespoke Blüthner piano itself – one of the details that gives the resort its sense of occasion.

Cinq Mondes Spa gives the resort a quieter rhythm

Cinq Mondes Spa covers 3,000 square metres, with 23 treatment rooms, two private spa suites, hammams and an indoor pool. Its treatments draw on rituals and ingredients from around the world, while the facilities give you plenty of reasons to stay for the day rather than simply book a single treatment.

The spa’s signature Psammo Therapy uses warm sand in a treatment inspired by ancient sand bathing traditions. It’s a fitting experience for Dubai – part wellness ritual, part sensory reset – and a welcome change of pace after a day spent exploring the city.

By evening, the resort’s gardens and illuminated architecture create a different atmosphere altogether. Return to Piatti for Italian flavours, order a drink in Blüthner Hall or simply watch the lights of Dubai come on from your balcony.

Raffles The Palm Dubai is made for travellers who enjoy a sense of ceremony, but its best moments are often the unhurried ones: breakfast overlooking the gardens, a swim before the city wakes up or an hour spent doing very little beside the Gulf.
