Scoot is soaring to new heights in Thailand and Malaysia, with its latest flights providing unparalleled access to the region's renowned golden shores and rich cultural experiences.
Singaporean low-cost airline Scoot is poised for growth in Southeast Asia, unveiling plans for additional direct flights from Singapore to popular destinations in Malaysia and Thailand. The airline will add flights to Koh Samui, an island off the east coast of Thailand, and Sibu, in eastern Malaysia's Sarawak, while increasing existing routes to Kuantan, Miri, Krabi and Hat Yai.
The airline's network has now increased to a whopping 69 destinations.
The initial batch of nine brand-new Embraer E190-E2 aircrafts are scheduled for delivery in April 2024, with their maiden flight to Krabi slated for the subsequent month. The planes will operate ten weekly flights to both Krabi and Hat Yai. The addition of the second E2 aircraft will facilitate expanded flight services to Kuantan and Miri, as well as the new routes to Koh Samui and Sibu. Initially, Scoot will offer daily flights to Koh Samui, with plans to ramp up to a twice-daily service in June.
Flights to Sibu will commence three times per week in June.

Scoot Chief Executive Officer Leslie Thng said he was "delighted" by the growth.
“Our fleet expansion reflects our confidence that the demand for air travel will continue to grow within this region," he stated. "We will continue to seek new opportunities and push boundaries, so as to connect our customers to even more destinations at the same great value in the future."
Economy fares will start from S$172 to Koh Samui, and from S$72 to Sibu (prices accurate at the time of publication and subject to change).
