The South Coast Winery Stay With the Vineyard at Your Door

Stay among the vines at Cupitt’s Estate on the NSW South Coast, with seasonal dining, cool-climate wines and Mollymook Beach nearby.

Cupitt’s Estate is a boutique winery stay on the NSW South Coast, where one-bedroom villas, estate-grown produce and cool-climate wines create an easygoing country escape close to Mollymook Beach and Milton.

This is a winery stay with everything close at hand

At Cupitt’s Estate, the best part of the day might be a wine tasting, a long lunch or simply stepping onto your villa balcony with a coffee. This family-run estate brings together accommodation, a cellar door, a working vineyard, a restaurant and a Wine Garden in one scenic South Coast setting.

The estate sits in Ulladulla, between the historic township of Milton and Mollymook Beach. From here, you can spend the morning by the coast, return for lunch among the vines and settle into a bottle of estate wine before the sun slips behind the Budawang Ranges.

Cupitt’s Estate

You can eat from the estate’s own garden

Cupitt’s Dining Room follows a seasonal, share-style approach, with produce sourced from the estate’s kitchen garden and local suppliers. The menu changes with availability, but recent dishes have included Ulladulla yellowfin tuna crudo, grilled Harvey Bay scallops and garden-grown leaves dressed with Cupitt’s citrus.

The restaurant’s food is designed around the estate’s wines, making this the kind of place where lunch naturally stretches into the afternoon. For something more relaxed, head to the Wine Garden for alfresco dining, estate wine, small-batch beer and regular live music.

Sunday Sessions have become a local tradition, with music from 12.30pm and views across the vines, pastures, Burrill Lake and the Budawang Ranges. It’s a fitting way to experience Cupitt’s – unhurried, social and built around good food.

The cellar door makes wine tasting wonderfully easy

You don’t need to organise a full day of winery-hopping when the cellar door is a short walk from your villa. Daily tastings offer an introduction to Cupitt’s cool-climate wines, including Italian varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Arneis and Montepulciano.

The estate’s own Sauvignon Blanc vineyard is also tied to one of its more unusual bottles. Cupitt’s Alphonse is inspired by 19th-generation French winemaker Alphonse Mellot, reflecting the owners’ interest in bringing European wine traditions to the NSW South Coast.

Take your time with a tasting, choose a bottle for later and let the landscape do the rest. With the restaurant and Wine Garden nearby, there’s no need to rush between bookings.

Your villa is designed for slow mornings

Cupitt’s one-bedroom Estate Villas are light-filled and comfortable, with high ceilings, curated artworks from Gallery Alchemy, a king bed, kitchenette and balcony overlooking the surrounding rural landscape.

Four villas also feature a freestanding outdoor bath on the deck – a particularly appealing option for an evening soak beneath the stars. The accessible Estate Villa offers the same considered interiors without the outdoor bath.

Mornings begin with a continental breakfast hamper featuring house-made sourdough, while locally blended tea, single-origin drip coffee and artisan chocolates make it easy to linger in. Each villa sits around 50 metres from the restaurant, cellar door and Wine Garden, so breakfast, wine and lunch are all within an easy stroll.

Mollymook Beach and Milton are close by

Cupitt’s Estate works well as a destination in its own right, but the surrounding region gives you plenty of reasons to leave the property. Mollymook Beach is only a short drive away for a morning swim, coastal walk or stretch of sand between meals.

In the other direction, Milton’s heritage-listed streets are lined with independent shops, galleries, cafés and local produce. Ulladulla Harbour is also nearby, with the broader Shoalhaven region offering beaches, bushland and small-town discoveries across the South Coast.

The appeal of Cupitt’s is that you can do as much or as little as you like. Spend the day exploring, or stay on the estate and move between the villa, cellar door and dining table.
