How One Family Flew to the Maldives for Half Price With Société

Société Rewards seats let members book Luxury Escapes' Maldives charter flights with Points. Here's how you can do it and save thousands at the same time.

Flights to the Maldives for half price sounds like the kind of offer that comes with an asterisk. This one does – but only a small one. A family of three just covered $4,720 of charter flights for $2,310, on their very first booking with Luxury Escapes.

The secret is Société Rewards seats: a new way to book Luxury Escapes’ direct Maldives charter flights with Points, the same way you’d book an airline reward seat. Your Points go roughly twice as far on these seats as they do on any other booking on Luxury Escapes – and Société members are already taking advantage.

Here’s why you should do the same.

How one family covered $4,720 of Maldives flights with Société Points

This family had held a Luxury Escapes account since 2018. In June, they bought 300,000 Société points with a 20% bonus attached, earning 360,000 points for $2,310.

Three days later, they used all 360,000 of those Points to cover $4,720 of Maldives charter flight costs – and booked a Sky Room at SAii Lagoon Maldives for two adults and one child, with daily breakfast and nightly dinner included in their holiday package.

For $2,310, this family covered $4,720 of flights.

Using Société Points took the Maldives from bucket list to booked.

How Société Rewards seats work

Normally, Société Points work like savings applied at checkout – you can put them towards almost anything on Luxury Escapes.

Société Rewards seats are different. Each seat has a set Points price, like an airline reward seat, and the value works out at roughly double the usual rate. Buy your Points during a bonus offer and your Points will go even further when you book.

Short version: if you’re going to use Société Points anywhere, use them here.

If you’ve ever dreamed of the Maldives, the combination of Société Points and Société Rewards Seats get you there for less.

How to use Société Points on a holiday you want to experience again

Another way to use Société Points is putting them towards revisiting your favourite destinations.

In May, a couple booked a Sky Room at SAii Lagoon with standard Maldives charter seats. Six weeks later they came back to book a second stay – and this time they locked in their flights with serious savings. They bought 240,000 Société Points (200,000 plus a 40,000 bonus) for $1,560, and used that balance to cover $2,600 worth of charter flight seats on the new booking.

That’s $2,600 of flights for $1,560.

A nine-year member saved $3,340 on family charter flights

And it’s not just new Luxury Escapes customers making the most of Société Points to get to the Maldives.

In June, a member who has been booking with Luxury Escapes for almost a decade – trips to Vietnam, Singapore, Phuket, Bali, Hunter Valley and more – topped up their Société Points balance with 330,000 (277,500 base plus 55,500 bonus). Three days later, this member used 360,000 Points to take $3,340 off their family’s charter flights – booking a Beach Room at SAii Lagoon for two adults and one child.
