The Accor-owned SO/ Hotels brand is set to bring its fashion-led flair to the Maldives for the first time ever this November.
The Maldives is about to get a whole lot more glamorous with the grand opening of SO/ Maldives. Synonymous with art and fashion, the SO/ brand has previously collaborated with the likes of designers Guillaume Henry, Christian Lacroix and Viktor&Rolf on interiors, uniforms, amenities and experiences for its global hotels.
True to form, this new resort turns traditional Maldivian design on its head, with a colourful Beach Club, a neon-lit runway suspended over the water and a wellness village with a hammam. 80 beachfront and overwater villas each feature a private pool, with the pinnacle the Three-Bedroom Ocean Water Pool Atelier: a modernist two-storey villa with wraparound decks and an infinity pool.
The resort sits within CROSSROADS Maldives, a pioneering lifestyle and leisure complex a 15-minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport. First bookings will be available from November 2023.
