Most-loved Luxury Escape: Grand Hyatt Bali

A perennial favourite among Luxury Escapers, this icon of a resort offers everything that makes a fly-and-flop Bali escape great. A beachfront Nusa Dua location, five swimming pools – covering everything from trickling waterfall serenity to splashy waterslide fun – a spa modelled on a Balinese water palace and dining that takes you on a global culinary tour, including street food, night-market-style, are just a few of the things that make Grand Hyatt Bali a winner.

Most-loved family friendly escape: Disney Cruise Line

All the magic of Disney parks and resorts on one ship: what’s not to love? Disney Cruise Line brought its world of wonder to Australian shores for the first time ever last year, and its inaugural guests are already wishing upon a star to sail again. Think Broadway-class shows, character meet-and-greets, water play and slides and round-the-clock entertainment: this is a family escape that truly has something for everyone.

Most-loved bucket-list escape: Finland & Norway Northern Lights

It’s little wonder Escapers have seen the light and voted for this natural phenomenon as their peak bucket-list experience. This winning Finland and Norway tour is carefully curated to maximise the chance of seeing the elusive glow of the aurora borealis. Traverse arctic scenery, sleep in a glass igloo, take a snowmobile ride through the snow and cruise the coastal fjords: every moment in this 16-day, whirlwind adventure is once-in-a-lifetime.

Most inclusion-packed escape: InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, an IHG Hotel

Here at Luxury Escapes we love an inclusion as much as you do, which is why we’re proud to name Queensland’s InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, an IHG Hotel as your all-time favourite when it comes to those all-important added perks. Delicious daily buffet breakfast at Pacific Restaurants, A$400 credit to use across the resort’s facilities and services, return catamaran airport transfers from Hamilton Island or Airlie Beach, nightly drinks, Whitsundays Island Escapades group tour: it’s all there for the taking at this private island resort.

Most-loved destination: Maldives

The postcard-perfect white sands, azure waters and jewel-like islands of the Maldives never lose their bucket-list appeal. With a plethora of dazzling five-star resorts, endless reef to snorkel and once-in-a-lifetime experiences unfolding daily (from dining in an underwater restaurant at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, to sleeping in a bubble on the beach at Seaside Finolhu), this is the pinnacle of escapes for LuxList voters.

Most-loved cruise line: Royal Caribbean

With ever more impressive ships heading onto the waters, there’s high competition for the title of most-loved cruise line: but the multi-award-winning Royal Caribbean comes out on top. Epic experiences like skydiving, the FlowRider® surf simulator and a bionic bartender are just some of the features found onboard its incredible ships, while global dining, from white-tablecloth service to poolside bites, keep all cruisers happy.
