Thailand Drops Visa Requirements for Indian Travellers for Six Months

Thailand

Thailand grants visa-free entry for Indian travellers from November 10, 2023.

It’s time to pack your bags and set off for the Land of Smiles as Thailand has temporarily scrapped visa requirements for all Indian and Taiwanese travellers. For a six-month period from November 10, 2023, until May 10, 2024, this move to introduce visa-free travel across a peak holiday period is intended to boost Thailand’s tourism industry.

“Travellers from India and Taiwan can stay in Thailand for a period of 30 days from the day of arrival,” Siriges-A-Nong Trirattanasongpol, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, told Press Trust of India

India was Thailand’s fourth largest source market for international tourism in 2023, with Malaysia, China and South Korea coming in first, second and third. The removal of a visa requirement is expected to only bolster Thailand’s popularity as a much-loved holiday destination.

Make the most of visa-free Thailand travel to embark on a spectacular Thai escape. Lounge by the beach in Koh Samui, polish off a plate of pad Thai in Bangkok or tee off at a golf resort in Phuket.
