We talk to Luxury Escapes Founder and CEO, Adam Schwab, about the latest way to save more on your travel.
Why did you create LuxPlus+?
Providing value to our members is at the core of what Luxury Escapes does, and LuxPlus+ is a fantastic new way for us to do that. The new club goes above and beyond to reward members with unparalleled value. We want our LuxPlus+ members to know that when they join the club they are getting deeper discounts, better service and the best pricing anywhere in Australia.
Why launch the club now?
We know that Australians are prioritising travel above other discretionary spending. We have surveyed our members and found that over half of them are planning on a big trip this year. But we also have a cost-of-living squeeze and we want to provide our members with an upscale travel experience that is also cost-effective. We also heard from members that they are looking for more luxury inclusions and upgrades and this is what we are offering with LuxPlus+.
What can people expect when they join LuxPlus+?
It’s more value, more inclusions and simply more of what they love about Luxury Escapes. LuxPlus+ members can expect to save thousands of dollars every year with the additional benefits and the exclusive offers and destinations just for LuxPlus+ members. There are bonus breakfasts and other add-ons, complimentary room upgrades and big savings on tours. They get early access to bestselling Luxury Escapes offers, and some hidden escapes all to themselves, as well as bonus hotel credit.
Importantly, the whole point of a VIP travel club is to make you feel special, and LuxPlus+ members will get priority customer support allowing them to jump the queue to access our global customer service team. And we will constantly be adding and updating exclusive offers to make sure LuxPlus+ members access more benefits, more often.
What are some of the examples of how much you can save?
In our first few months of operation, members have saved more than $1 million. One family saved $920 on a 12-night holiday to Thailand and another family saved $1130 across two family trips to Japan and Bali. Most LuxPlus+ members easily make back the annual fee of $249 within one or two bookings.
How do you join LuxPlus+?
If you are currently a member of Luxury Escapes, you can simply join with your existing account. If not, it is easy and free to sign up to Luxury Escapes. There is a one-off joining fee of A$500 for LuxPlus+ but that is waived when you purchase an eligible LuxPlus+ offer. Then there is the annual fee of A$249*.
Any tips for members on how to get the most out of their membership?
