Ultra Stylish $150m Boutique Melbourne Hotel in the Works
TFE Hotels has commenced construction on the luxurious Hannah St. Hotel, located on Melbourne’s Southbank.
Melbourne’s hotel scene has a new kid on the block: the boutique Hannah St. Hotel.
The $150 million hotel will house 188 rooms across 10 levels of the gleaming 62-storey Queensbridge Building, a new residential tower near Melbourne’s Crown complex.
Flack Studios, the design mavericks behind Troye Sivan’s Architectural Digest residence and Sydney’s Ace hotel are at the helm, marrying Southbank’s industrial heritage with the ultra-modern facade. The hotel will feature its own neighbourhood bar, restaurant and terrace, and offer guests exclusive access to the Queensbridge Building facilities with a rooftop lap pool and coworking spaces.
The hotel is poised to capitalise on Melbourne’s $1.7 billion Arts Precinct transformation, which includes upgraded performance and art spaces, enhanced accessibility and the creation of a new 18,000sqm urban garden with biodiverse planting.
The hotel’s eponymous street holds its own rich history. It’s named after Patrick Hanna, an early immigrant from Glasgow, who, as an engineer and shipbuilder, played a pivotal role in connecting future Melburnians to the city from across the river.
The construction of Hannah St. Hotel is currently underway, scheduled for a September 2025 opening.
