The little-big city of Adelaide is gaining global attention.

Move over, Melbourne and Sydney: ‘underrated’ Adelaide has been recognised by Wall Street Journal as possibly the coolest city in Australia. It’s hailed as ‘an almost utopian alternative to the typical urban sprawl’ thanks to its leafy parklands, surrounding Adelaide Hills and glistening beaches. Also commended is its culinary prowess, art galleries, vintage stores, nostalgic bookshops and proximity to the wineries of the Barossa Valley, a 90-minute drive away.
