About the Tour
Your tour takes you to:
Adelaide
Barossa Valley
Adelaide
Kangaroo Island
Coober Pedy
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Birdsville
Hamilton Island

This is Australia as few ever experience it — stitched together by private charter flights, intimate lodges and landscapes so remote they’re rarely paired in a single journey. From Uluru and the underground world of Coober Pedy to the legendary Birdsville Races and the vineyards of Barossa, the journey culminates in a tropical finale on Hamilton Island, with every transition refined and exclusive to this event.

Spanning the vineyard-lined hills of South Australia to the tropical calm of Hamilton Island, this itinerary brings together destinations rarely experienced in a single journey. Barossa Valley, Kangaroo Island, Coober Pedy, Uluṟu, Birdsville and the Whitsundays each reveal a distinct side of Australia, brought together by private aviation and anchored by exceptional stays at Luxury Lodges of Australia properties, including The Louise, Southern Ocean Lodge, Longitude 131° and qualia. Each day begins and ends in extraordinary surroundings — ocean horizons, desert stillness, vineyard views and island serenity.

Private flights transform the experience itself. Bypassing commercial terminals and long overland drives, you’ll fly directly between regions alongside the same intimate group throughout. This unlocks Australia’s most isolated icons, allowing time and space to truly absorb them — from Kangaroo Island’s dramatic coastline and a skippered Whitsundays charter to a private Barossa Valley wine tasting.

At the heart of the journey lies Australia’s Red Centre. From sunrise to sunset, Uluṟu reveals its shifting colours and quiet power, best experienced from the privacy of your lodge, drink in hand, as the desert cools and darkness settles. The journey continues to Birdsville for one of the country’s most storied events, where Pavilion access to the legendary races offers trackside views, hosted hospitality and a striking contrast to the surrounding outback.

This is Australia at its most expansive and refined. With a single departure on 30 August 2026, this privately orchestrated journey is limited, offering rare access to a lifetime of experiences in one remarkable journey.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Wake to the sound of the Southern Ocean once more before a final breakfast on Kangaroo Island. This morning, you’ll be transferred back to the airport for a second private charter flight north towards the famed opal mining town of Coober Pedy.

En route, a flyover of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre National Park is sure to leave you speechless. Australia’s lowest point – approximately 15 metres below sea level – is a place of desolate beauty where the country’s largest salt lake may transform into a floodplain of shimmering birdlife at any moment. Savour every moment of this exclusive opportunity before your flight pans west towards the opal capital of the world.

Upon arrival in Coober Pedy, prepare for a city tour including an opal mine tour, the spectacular Breakaways, and many more local sights, with a casual local lunch to keep you moving.

Later, board your private plane once more for another flight further north. Keep a lookout for the world-famous sacred site you’ve been waiting for, as Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park comes into view. Landing at Ayers Rock Airport (AYQ), you’ll be transferred to your lodgings at Longitude 131° where you’ll unpack with Uluṟu on the horizon.

As twilight falls over the desert, the Uluṟu sunset viewing area is the place to be. Complete with a pop-up bar for a sundowner or two, this magical experience may well be the pinnacle of your essential Australia tour. Mingle with your newfound friends as the sacred site turns from bright orange to deep red and purple, before the nighttime takes hold. Later, wander through the Field of Light installation near your accommodation and be captivated by 50,000 individual lights as they form one open-air outback artwork.

Later, you’ll be transferred back to your Luxury Tent where an open bar is available in-room or at the onsite Dune House restaurant. Fall asleep by your tent’s feature gas fireplace with Uluṟu for company and a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

Traveller Details

  • Traveller Details must be completed for each individual traveller.
  • Travellers must advise of any medical conditions or dietary requirements. Failure to provide such information in advance of your tour may result in an inability to cater to your requirements.
  • We work with exceptional local tour providers to present uniquely crafted packages that encompass sightseeing tours and excursions. Our tour provider partners are dedicated to making every effort to accommodate specific requirements. However, it should be noted that the extent to which they can address mobility and accessibility needs may vary, depending on the nature of the sightseeing tour and activities involved. Please contact tours@luxuryescapes.com so we can advise whether your specific needs can be accommodated.
  • Special dietary requirements can be catered for in most cases, however, on occasion this may not be possible due to location, lack of availability of unique ingredients, and other extenuating circumstances. It is always advised to carry any necessary supplies with you.
  • All travellers must notify us of special dietary requests at the time of booking. Although we will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee requests will be met by suppliers. On tour, meals are prepared based on the availability of ingredients in each destination. Please keep in mind that specific meal requests may not be available at every stop.
  • Please be advised that food and drink locations are not owned or operated by us. It is your responsibility to check that meals and drinks meet your requirements. We expressly disclaim any liability for meals or drinks that contain allergens.
  • Passport details are required for all bookings. In some cases, a digital copy of your passport may be requested by Luxury Escapes to book certain elements of your trip.
  • Names on your booking and in your traveller details need to match your passport. If incorrect, any fees incurred to make changes to internal flights for on-ground arrangements will be at the cost of the traveller.
  • If a photo of your passport is requested, failure to provide valid photo ID will result in your booking being cancelled and all monies paid remaining non-refundable. When requested, a digital copy of your passport must be provided for each guest at least 90 days prior to your tour departure.
  • Should you require any assistance with your Traveller Details, please contact our Tours Concierge Team at tours@luxuryescapes.com.

Tour Pace

  • It’s important to note that specific activities and intensity levels may vary between different tour operators and destinations. When selecting a group tour, it’s advisable to carefully review the itinerary, activity descriptions and fitness requirements to ensure a suitable match for your preferences and physical capabilities.
    • Relaxed: Leisurely pace with limited walking or physical demands. Opportunity for ample free time and leisure activities. Suitable for individuals seeking a laidback experience.
    • Moderate: Usually more than one day in a location. Balanced mix of exploration and physical engagement. Suitable for participants with a reasonable level of fitness. Exploring cities on foot, visiting landmarks and guided excursions. Requires a moderate level of stamina and physical activity.
    • Active: Activities most days. Generally, not staying in a location for two days or more. Suitable for participants with high fitness levels and a sense of adventure.

Travel Styles

  • Fully Guided Tour: A dedicated tour director and driver will accompany you for the entire trip. In some cases, you may have different tour directors in different regions. If your tour spans multiple countries, any internal flights included will not be escorted.
  • Partially Guided Tour: You’ll have a tour driver and local guides at specific locations or portions of the trip, but not the entire time. There might be different local guides for different regions.
  • Self-Guided Tour: You will not have a guide for your trip. You will be provided detailed trip notes with elements, such as accommodation and transport, pre-booked for you.
