Begin your ‘Royal Rajasthan’ tour of India in the electric city of Delhi, the country’s vibrant capital, where you can experiencethe colourful Old Delhi markets and travel like the locals on a traditional rickshaw ride. Discover the rich history of Delhi as you see the main attractions of the city including Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Qutub Minar and the official residence of the President of India.
Continue your regal journey in Agra, and enjoy your stay at the palatial Oberoi Amarvilas overlooking the spectacular and iconic Taj Mahal. Before discovering the timeless tale of romance and architectural genius behind this most famous of attractions, enjoy sunset gin and tonics and majestic views of the Taj at the hotel bar. The hotel is mere minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Taj Mahal by buggy, andyou will be one of the first to see this incredible wonder of the world at the best time of day with an early morning tour.
En route to Jaipur, enjoy an elegant lunch at Laxmi Niwas Palace before arriving at your incredible five-star accommodation, The Oberoi Rajvilas. Then explore the beauty of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, with visits to a colourful market, Amber Fort, City Palace, Central Museum, Jantar Mantar and the Palace of Winds.
Travel on to the city of Deoargh, located in the Aravali Ranges, and arrive at your stunning hotel, which was once a 17th-century palace fora noble family that still owns it and resides in one of the wings of the property. Explore the area at your leisure with your choice of activity, choosing from a guided countryside tour, afternoon tea in a small local village or a train ride through the hills in a vintage 1930’s train. Varanasi is one of the most colourful places on the planet and is often referred to as the ‘holy city of India’. Situated on the banks of the River Ganges, this ancient city is steeped in rich tradition and attracts visitors who want to be immersed in the soul of India and experience what makes this country so special.
While in Varanasi, you’ll be lucky enough to witness an evening Hindu prayer ceremony (Aarti) on the River Ganges. At the ceremony the whole city is lit up by floating candles and colourful displays along the river, creating a special sight that you’ll remember forever. Explore the many grand temples of the city and end your tour with a peaceful early morning boat ride on the river, where – as the hazy morning mist clears and the city slowly awakens – you’ll see the locals praying to the rising sun.
In addition to the above itinerary, this extended-tour option includes two nights at Brij Rama Palace Varanasi, two internal flights from Udaipur to Varanasi and Varanasi to Delhi, and an additional lunch and dinner.

Getting to Delhi is easy. Regular stopover flights to Delhi are available from most major Australian cities with airlines including Air India, Singapore Airlines, Qantas and Emirates with an approximate flight time of 13 hours.
