Your Whitsundays sailing experience begins and ends at the Coral Sea Marina on Airlie Beach. From here, you can explore each of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays, stop at Whitehaven Beach or simply explore the Great Barrier Reef.

The marina is approximately a 30-minute drive from Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP). Airport transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

Things to know

Inclusions
  • The experience begins at 4.30pm on Day 1, and the boat must be returned by 9.30am on the last day.
  • Two single berths are included within the forward double cabins.
  • Fuel will be charged upon completion of your journey based on usage, payable direct to the vendor. As an approximate figure, the catamaran uses 7 litres per hour, usually amounting to a maximum of A$200.
  • A security bond of A$3,500 is required on arrival as a pre-authorisation on your credit card. Please ensure sufficient funds are available as the amount will be frozen for the duration of the voyage.
  • The charterer is liable for any damage to the vessel. Travel insurance is recommended to cover the bond in the event of an incident.
  • No boat licence is required to sail Regina, but some boating experience is required.
  • The general maritime briefing covers navigation, how to safely secure and anchor the vessel overnight, and how to use the sails. Any additional training required will incur an additional charge of A$200, payable directly on arrival.
  • Use of paddleboards and snorkel equipment includes two stand-up paddleboards. An additional two boards can be added for $50 per day.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Cancellation: Bookings may be cancelled with a full refund provided they are cancelled within 7 days of purchase and not within 14 days of check in. Outside of 7 days of purchase, bookings may be cancelled as long as they are not within 60 days of check in.

Date changes

Date change: Customers are permitted to make unlimited changes to their booking at no charge provided that such change is made no less than 60 days prior to the commencement of the original check-in date. Any change to a booking date will be made directly by the customer through the calendar booking system (where available).

Fine print

Valid for travel from 1 August 2025 until 31 March 2027 (bookings must be made before 31 January 2027).

Environmental Management Surcharge: An EMC (Environmental Management Surcharge) of A$61 per person, per trip is payable towards admin fees charged by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, this is payable prior to arrival.
