Lotte Arai Resort can be reached by flying to Japan’s Niigata Airport (KIJ), a two-hour drive from the resort, or by taking a bullet train to Joetsumyoko Station from Tokyo (approximately one hour and 45 minutes). Airport transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

Home to Myoko’s longest run, Lotte Arai Resort has Japan’s biggest in-bounds off-piste ski area and also offers some above-treeline terrain in wide-open powder bowls (also rare for a Japanese resort), along with some controlled off-piste skiing and snowboarding. The resort has an impressive 951 metres of vertical descent, or, if you don’t mind a hike, make your way up the ridgeline to Mount Ohgenashi and Mount Kogenashi and reach 1,101 metres of Japan’s finest Japow. One thing’s for certain: you won’t ever find yourself short of things to do at Lotte Arai. Admire the snowy scenery as you whizz down the 1,500-metre zip line on a zip-tour along one of Asia’s longest lines (additional charges apply), go tubing down the slopes or try your hand at rock climbing and trampolining at the Lotte Arai Playground.

Daily breakfast at The Plate restaurant with either a Western buffet or traditional Japanese set breakfast is included in your package, so you’ll be well set up for busy days of skiing. You’ll also benefit from one dinner per person during your stay. Choose to dine at either the Japanese restaurant, Asahi, or the Western eatery, The Plate. Asahi boasts local delicacies such as sushi, sashimi, roast meats and miso soup, while The Plate has all your favourite Western treats available, including pasta, burgers, seafood, desserts and more. A 10% discount on all drinks at either the Lounge Bar or Karaoke is also included, to keep you hydrated throughout your stay.

- The included lift pass offers economy access through the standard (automated ticket) gate.
- Onsen access is available between 6.30am and 10am (final admission at 9am) and 1pm and 11pm (final admission at 10pm) on weekdays, and 6.30am and 10am (final admission at 9am) on weekends. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Ski hire is available from Salomon station, located in the village. Ski rental includes a standard set (skis, boots, and poles or snowboard and boots)

- JPY20,000 cash back on fifth spa treatment per person is available for the fifth spa treatment received by one person in one stay.
- Onsen operates from 6am to 11pm. Cleaning hours are between 10am and 1pm. No reservation is required. Hot spring tax is not included, and is charged at JPY150 per person, per night, for all guests aged 13+.
- One-time dinner can be enjoyed on any night of your stay between 5pm and 10pm. Last entrance is at 9pm. The Plate (Western) or Asahi (Japanese) restaurants are available for this inclusion.
- Lift tickets are provided at the village station information centre (gondola departure/arrival station).
