Kingfisher Bay Resort is a 50-minute ferry ride from River Heads, Hervey Bay, approximately four hours (by car or coach) north of the Brisbane CBD. The closest airport is Hervey Bay Airport (HVB). Roundtrip passenger transfers to the island from Hervey Bay Airport – or the River Heads ferry terminal – are included in your package.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.
Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service ONE date change in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 45 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges

Roundtrip Ferry Transfers:
- Flight details must be sent through to the Kingfisher Bay Resort Reservations Team 72 hours prior to arrival to ensure collection from the airport.
- Please note, ferry transfers do not include vehicles (upgrade rate available directly by contacting the Reservations Team). Passenger ferry transfers will be booked for the 1pm sailing for arrival and 10.30am for departure. Passenger ferry transfers can be amended directly with the Reservations Team (subject to availability) after confirmation of your booking has been received.
- Guests are asked to arrive at Kingfisher Bay Resort Mainland Reception Office (located at Shop 7, River Heads Shopping Village, 54 Ariadne St, River Heads) at least 40 minutes prior to the ferry departure to allow enough time for check-in, ticketing, luggage collection and vehicle parking.
- A confirmation email and attachment will be sent by Kingfisher Bay Resort highlighting important information regarding arrival, check-in, luggage collection, tours and activities. It is important you check this email and attachment carefully and contact the resort with any discrepancies prior to arrival.
Important: The hotel, transportation and/or destination you are travelling to may have health, insurance and vaccination requirements in place. Please ensure you stay up to date with any requirements prior to your departure.
