Sydney: 1.5-Hour Small Group Guided Clay Target Shooting Session in Cecil Park
Take a deep breath and aim for your best shot with a clay target shooting session at Hitting Targets. Get set to lock and load in the shooting range of Cecil Park as you’ll be kitted up with safety gear and shown how to shoot straight from expert instructors throughout the session. Take advantage of the one-on-one advice from your shooting instructors – which may include Olympic and Commonwealth Gold medallist Suzy Balogh herself – and receive a signed, boxed clay target to take home as a souvenir to remember your day at the ranges.
Inclusions
- Valid for one person (12+) (*under 18s must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian)
- 1.5-hour guided small group clay target shooting session
- Real 12 gauge shotguns, live ammunition, moving clay targets
- Shoot around 35–50 targets during the session
- Receive a signed, boxed clay target
- Expert instruction from Gold Medallist Suzy Balogh and/or her staff
- Equipment supplied includes ammunition, targets, use of firearms, hearing and eye protection, shooting jackets, safety frames, range fees, insurance for shooters and spectators and temporary firearms use approval for unlicensed participants
- Photos of participants are taken and will be available for complimentary download from Google Photos

Changes to booking
48 hours’ notice is required to change a booking you have made, subject to availability. You may however substitute your spot for another person who can meet the legislation requirements
- Shooting range dress code: enclosed shoes must be worn (no thongs, sandals or high heels)
- Wear weather-appropriate clothing
- Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail
- Carry hat and sunscreen
- Photo ID must be presented on the day; this must be an Australian driver’s licence or passport for international participants. Participants aged 12—18 who have neither, their birth certificate and some form of matching photo ID (e.g. Student ID card) must be shown

Important:
- Exclusions: Meals, drinks, transport, additional rounds, and merchandise. Any additional personal expenses must be paid directly to Hitting Targets
- Please allow up to two hours for this experience, including safety briefing
- Accessibility: Sydney International Shooting Centre (the most commonly used range) is wheelchair friendly and an Olympic venue. There are easily accessible disabled bathrooms always available on site also. However, the actual firing range has uneven ground from concrete paths to grass
Terms & Conditions:
- Minimum of 10 participants required for session to go ahead. Maximum group size for this experience is 16 people
- Valid for participants aged 12+
- Participants under 18 must have parental or court-approved legal guardian consent on the NSW Police Force - Firearms Registry Declaration (P650) and must be accompanied by that parent or legal guardian
- Proof of age and legal guardianship will be required
- You are not required to have a firearms licence however if unlicensed, each participant must be approved on the day of the session by filling in the NSW Police Force - Firearms Registry Declaration (P650). The declaration is for approval to use a firearm on an approved shooting range declaring that over the past 10 years the participant has been of good behaviour and is of mental stability. Hitting Targets staff will sign off on forms on the day of the session
- Participants must be sober and not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol during the session
- Suzy Balogh is not guaranteed to be an instructor for a session
