I absolutely love the Sofitel Paris near the U.S. Embassy! 🇫🇷✨ One of my favorite things about this hotel is how safe, comfortable, and welcoming it feels. The atmosphere is beautiful, sophisticated, and full of French charm.
I also love how artistic the hotel is. They are showcasing a new collection of art on display on the first floor, which gives the space such a unique and inspiring feel. 🎨❤️ They had dresses, and one of those dresses was worn by Lady Gaga. Perfect place for a group hangout.
The ambience is simply perfect; elegant, peaceful, artistic, and distinctly Parisian. I always enjoy my time here and highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg from August 11–13 and had a truly wonderful experience! The hotel is perfectly located—very central, yet peaceful and quiet—just a short walk from the Élysée Palace and Paris’s finest luxury boutiques. The street is secured by police, which made us feel completely safe and comfortable at all hours.
The hotel has an elegant and luxurious atmosphere, the service was excellent, and the highlight was the breakfast—the richest, most varied, and impressive breakfast I have ever seen! A fantastic hotel in an exceptional location. We would gladly return and highly recommend it!

I’ll start my review with a WOW. I can’t think of a hospitality experience I have enjoyed more. This hotel is simply amazing. Nothing is perfect in this world but this hotel is as close as it gets. I guess you could discuss the cost but this is a luxury experience that we saved for and it delivered. Great staff, GREAT food, and a very comfortable room.
Also the best French onion soup I have ever had and I will call myself an expert.

From before we arrived at the well located hotel, the concierge went above and beyond for us. They got reservations (and the best table) at every restaurant I was interested in booking and provided feedback when deciding which restaurants to book. When we arrived, everyone went out of their way to make the stay pleasant. The rooms were well sized with great products. Location was amazing. For families, the connecting family room was perfect. We will be back!
Sofitel Le Scribe
A historic address with a contemporary glow-up, Le Scribe mixes Belle Époque bones with modern flair. It’s just minutes from the Opéra Garnier and has a brasserie that could pass as a film set – the kind of place where pastries and people-watching go hand in hand. Don’t miss Le Bar du Scribe, the hotel’s horseshoe-shaped bar, once a favourite of Ernest Hemingway.
Le Bristol
A timeless icon of French prestige, Le Bristol boasts 18th-century charm, Michelin-starred dining and white-glove hospitality that will make you feel like royalty. Rooms are adorned with Louis XVI-era flair, the rooftop pool comes with views over Montmartre and the Eiffel Tower and even the resident cat Socrate – often seen lounging in velvet chairs or strolling the marble halls – embodies the hotel’s elegance.
The welcome at Café Antonia was outstanding. We wanted to try their homemade flan. A young woman greeted us with exemplary elegance, kindness, and professionalism.
Her smile, attentiveness, and warm welcome made it a truly enjoyable experience.
An experience worthy of the finest hotels, where the art of service and hospitality truly come to life.
A big thank you for this thoughtful touch.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel that left me feeling humiliated.
I stopped by Café Antonia to meet colleagues for coffee before an important professional meeting. While my colleagues were already seated inside the café, I was stopped at the hotel entrance and told that I could not enter without a hotel reservation. It was only after one of my colleagues came outside and personally escorted me in that I was allowed to enter without any further questions.
This experience was upsetting because I was clearly visiting the café to meet guests who were already inside. I cannot know the reason for the way I was treated, but the contrast between my experience and that of my colleagues left me wondering whether my appearance, gender, or ethnicity influenced the interaction. As an Indian woman, it is difficult not to ask that question.
For a hotel with an international reputation for excellence, I expected a much higher standard of hospitality, professionalism, and inclusiveness. If restricting entry to the café without a hotel reservation is indeed the hotel's policy, it should be communicated clearly and applied consistently to everyone. If it is not standard policy, I hope the management investigates what happened and ensures that no other visitor has a similar experience.
Luxury hospitality is not only about beautiful interiors and impeccable service—it is also about making every guest and visitor feel respected, welcome, and treated with dignity. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Very disappointing experience, especially for a hotel positioning itself at this level.
This was our first time staying at the hotel, and we arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately left very disappointed.
We made a reservation for an Executive room, but encountered a complete lack of flexibility and willingness to find a reasonable solution despite clear circumstances, as the situation was ultimately subject to their discretion.
For a hotel of this standing, one would expect a far higher level of responsiveness and consideration.
Today, guests value service, overall experience, and a thoughtful, client-oriented approach far more than the room itself, which can be found at a similar standard in many places.

I touchdown at 10am and reach hotel around noon. Hotel was kind to allow check in on the spot as I was really tired after 16 hours flight.
They gave me room on highest floor facing the front which was what I requested room with a view.
They have daily evening turn down service and give you cookies before bedtime. Good hotel.

Excellent breakfast. not a wide variety, but tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, attending to our needs promptly. The location is very convenient, right outside the metro station. The hotel is clean, and housekeeping consistently checked on us every time we went out and refilled the minibar once a day.

Everything was really good. Cleanliness, the newness of the hotel, the staff, everything was great. The only issue was on Sunday, the hotel’s restaurant and bar wasn’t open.

Best Paris hotels in the Latin Quarter
Hôtel Villa Romantic & Spa
One of Paris’s best-kept secrets, this hotel is all about slowing down, featuring heavenly wellness facilities like a mosaic Turkish bath and a sauna with a Himalayan salt wall. Wander into the hotel’s jasmine-scented courtyard for a quiet glass of Bordeaux away from the city’s bustle.
Serotel Lutèce
Quiet and quintessentially Parisian, interiors feature soft lighting, elegant mouldings and velvet armchairs, with a secret leafy garden for moments of calm. Descend to the charming cellar, where a vaulted ceiling adds character and warmth. Find yourself close to the Jardin des Plantes and Jardin du Luxembourg – ideal for strolls between bookshop hopping and cafe lingering.
Best Paris hotels near Montmartre
Maison Souquet Hotel & Spa
Hidden behind a discreet facade, this gem drips with sensual opulence, boasting gilded mouldings and velvet-covered walls. The hotel’s secret spa is the crown jewel, featuring a romantic hammam, an azure pool with a star-studded ceiling and a treatment room for total relaxation, the perfect treat before a show at the iconic Moulin Rouge.
Grand Pigalle Experimental
Another one from the team behind Experimental Cocktail Club, this is Montmartre at its moodiest and most stylish. Think Art Deco flair, low-lit rooms with retro glamour and a wine bar that’s hard to leave, plus a coveted address just a stroll away from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the charming Place du Tertre plaza.
The hotel was okay. We stayed in one of the top floor suites, but unfortunately the photos do make it seem bigger than it actually is. There was also a bit of a pain to not have the elevator go to the top floor, therefore taking luggage up stairs was fairly difficult. The shower was also small, mainly because the roof arches, but rooms on lower floors don’t have this issue (from the look of the photos).
Lastly, if you happen to travel in winter and are used to Australian temperatures, just note that there is only central AC, meaning you can’t change it to cold only hot until May.

We stayed at this boutique hotel in July 2023 for 7 nights. Our balcony room was very small which meant that we barely had room to walk around our bed once we had unpacked (admittedly we did have quite a lot of luggage because we were on an 8 week trip). On the plus side our room was very clean and fully serviced every day. There was also a brilliant view from our balcony of the Sacre Coeur in the distance.
The hotel is in a central location with a 24 hour front desk but again everything even the foyer and lift are tiny making the hotel feel more like a guest house than a hotel. The hotel staff are polite and all speak good English. In fact most staff seemed happier to converse in English rather than French.
We had breakfast included in our reservation which was served in the small cafe on the ground floor. Breakfast was passable but definately not up to the standard of major hotels.
On the whole I would give a rating of 5 out of 10 to Grand Pigalle hotel.
Hotel Rochechouart
This 1920s-era icon is now one of the area’s coolest stays. Rooms are rich with bold tones and vintage touches, while the rooftop bar – home to fig trees, Chinese almonds and vines – offers a 360-degree view over the whole of Paris.
