Breathtaking views greet you at every turn of this tour and accompany your gourmet and wildlife adventure, from beachfront views over a seafood masterclass in Ceduna Bay to lunch overlooking the Great Australian Bight.
Explore the breathtakingly beautiful Eyre Peninsula with a unique Smoky Bay oyster farming experience, where you can see shucking first hand and enjoy a taste direct from ocean to plate with a glass of local wine in-hand. Watch whales frolic under towering, wave-ravaged cliffs as you stand on the ‘edge of Australia’, overlooking the Great Australian Bight Marine Park and learn more about the great blue’s majestic creatures of the deep with a visit to the Head of Bight Whale Centre.
Delve into the outback beauty and wilderness of the Nullabor Plain and wade through waters brimming with playful Australian sea lions, penguins and humpback whales on a two-hour whale and wildlife oceanic cruise. Witness the spectacle of southern right whales sheltering with their young and keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, New Zealand fur seals and white-bellied sea eagles.
Back on land, be wowed by the endless deserted sandy beaches of Point Sinclair and world-famous surf break on Catcus Beach, followed by a visit to a pop-up seafood restaurant, where you’ll savour some of the finest fare the ocean has to offer with a glass of local wine.
Your tour begins and ends at Adelaide Airport.
Your included flight departs Adelaide Airport at approximately 7.50am on Day 1 and returns at 7.45pm on Day 3.

Arrival and departure transfers are only available on the first and last day in Ceduna only. Flights and transfers not listed in the itinerary, including to and from Adelaide Airport, are not included and must be purchased separately.

Day 1: Depart Adelaide
After a short, early morning flight to Ceduna, an expert local guide will greet you before a briefing over morning tea. Afterwards, travel to Smoky Bay — a picturesque seaside town known for its thriving oyster industry. The West Coast of the Eyre Peninsula, known as the ‘seafood frontier’, is famous as the source for some of the world’s best seafood and Smoky Bay oysters. Discover this for yourself with a tour of a working oyster farm. Travel by boat to a functioning lease, where local crew will share their knowledge and passion for the industry before you shuck and sample fresh oysters coupled with a glass of local wine. If oysters aren’t to your taste, Luxury Escapes can arrange some other fresh local produce for you.
Later, check into your charming beachside accommodation. Then, enjoy a seafood masterclass with a local chef who will prepare your evening meal with fresh regional produce, while you sip on wine and watch the sun melt into the ocean.

Day 2: Ceduna — Great Australian Bight Marine Park — Ceduna
After an early breakfast, it’s onto discovering the jaw-dropping beauty of the Head of Bight and Bunda Cliffs. At the ‘edge of Australia’, enjoy the awe-inspiring coastal views before reaching the Head of Bight Whale Centre. It’s here, in one of the most significant places for unparalleled wildlife viewing, that you can witness the magnificent spectacle of southern right whales sheltering with their young, as well as other extraordinary activity from humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions, little penguins and birdlife. Lunch is enjoyed after the viewing.
Later, an iconic Australian roadhouse provides a refreshing break from the red outback roads, before exploring the caves along the Nullarbor. Afterwards, Denial Bay is the ideal location to relax and take in the view of Murat Bay before returning to Ceduna.

Day 3: Ceduna — Arrive Adelaide
After breakfast on the foreshore this morning, head to Fowlers Bay, home to an abundance of endangered, vulnerable and protected species of marine mammals and oceanic birdlife. Here, join a two-hour whale and wildlife oceanic cruise, which provides the unique opportunity to engage with some of Australia’s iconic creatures. You could see everything from southern right whales and humpback whales to common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and Australian sea lions, as well as New Zealand fur seals, little penguins, albatross and white-bellied sea eagles.
Back on land, lunch is followed by more whale watching from the foreshore. In the afternoon, learn the fascinating history of windmills in Australia with a quick stop in Penong, before making your way along ‘Watermelon Ave’ to the surf mecca of Cactus Beach and white sandy beaches of Point Sinclair.
Your final lunch is relished at a pop-up seafood restaurant, where fresh produce and local wines are shared overlooking the ocean. Once full, it’s time to return to Ceduna for your return flight to Adelaide. The tour aims to be back at Adelaide Airport by approximately 7.45pm.
