Immerse yourself in Balinese cuisine and discover the unique spices that create these famous flavours. You’ll start the day scouring the local market for fresh vegetables and ingredients, then learn the secrets and techniques of cooking Balinese food directly from The Haven’s executive chef. After you create the basic seasoning paste, you’ll prepare and cook three courses: appetiser, main course and dessert. Reminisce about your culinary experience as you enjoy tasting the fruits of your labour for a delicious lunch. To remember your day, you’ll also receive a certificate of completion to take home and photos of the experience.

Inclusions
  • Valid for four adults (18+)
  • Guided market visit to buy local fresh ingredients for use in cooking class
  • Cooking experience guided by The Haven’s executive chef
  • Three-course lunch of your cooking class creation
  • One bottle of beer per person
  • Video and photos of the experience
  • Certificate commemorating your cooking class participation
  • Available hours: Tuesday and Thursday: 9am start time

Sample Itinerary:

  • 9am-9.30am: Meet at Sabeen Restaurant and travel to the markets
  • 9.30am-11am: Market visit to shop for fresh ingredients
  • 11am-11.30am: Travel back to hotel
  • 11.30am-12.00pm: Guests can take a break while staff continue preparations
  • 12pm-2pm: Cooking lesson, lead by Chef Bagus
  • 2pm-3pm: Lunch time to enjoy the food you have cooked
  • 3pm-3.30pm: Receive certificate of completion and take photos to remember your amazing experience
