2023 proved Tahiti is quickly becoming an Aussie traveller's hot pick.

More Australians are choosing Tahiti as their holiday destination than ever, with a 73 percent increase in travellers year-on-year. In 2023, 7,718 Australians flew into the French Polynesian island, eclipsing the 4,468 travellers previously recorded in 2022.

Australia accounted for 2.9 percent of international arrivals, making it the fifth-largest global tourist market, following behind the US, France, Canada and New Zealand.

There are already 976 flights booked to arrive in Tahiti between January and June 2024, an 8.8 percent increase on the same period in 2023.
