Start with an early breakfast at the hotel before departing for Sesriem, a remote desert settlement known as the gateway to the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei and the dramatic Sesriem Canyon, carved by centuries of rare floodwaters.
Arrive at your lodge amid the desert this afternoon, check in and enjoy time at leisure before dinner is served this evening. Later, look to the skies for a memorable stargazing experience – the Namib Desert is renowned for its dark, clear skies.

Wake for breakfast before venturing into Sossusvlei. The early morning light casts deep shadows and rich hues across the towering red sand dunes, some reaching up to 300 metres.
Explore the ghostly ‘Deadvlei’, a clay pan cracked and bleached by the sun and dotted with the skeletal remains of ancient camelthorn trees thought to be around 900 years old. These blackened trees, long dead yet perfectly preserved by the arid climate, stand like sentinels, their contorted forms casting sharp shadows across the barren earth.
Return to camp for the remainder of the day, you may like to cool off with a dip in the pool before joining your group for dinner.

After breakfast, depart for Swakopmund, a seaside town known for its German colonial architecture, coastal setting and adventurous spirit (think sandboarding and skydiving).

Take the afternoon to rest and rejuvenate at your hotel, or choose to explore the city’s elegant architecture, visit a museum, browse local crafts at the Post Street Mall or enjoy traditional Namibian cuisine – such as Kapana BBQ – at one of Windhoek’s restaurants or beer gardens (at own expense).

On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or begin exploring South Africa’s coastal city, situated between the famous Table Mountain and the waters where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.

Discover Cape Town’s history, culture, and architecture with visits to the 17th-century Castle of Good Hope and Cape Town City Hall, known for its Edwardian design. See the Grand Parade, where Nelson Mandela addressed the nation after 27 years in prison, and visit Saint George’s Cathedral, where Archbishop Desmond Tutu led anti-apartheid marches.
Walk through the peaceful Company’s Garden and explore Bo-Kaap, also known as the Malay Quarter, set against the slopes of Table Mountain. Watch artisans cut diamonds and create jewellery, a craft tied to South Africa’s historic diamond and gold trade. Later, continue to Table Mountain, where you may ascend by revolving cable car for sweeping views over the city, weather permitting.

After breakfast, set out for the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, following a coastal route that winds past Sea Point, Camps Bay and the striking Twelve Apostles range. In Hout Bay, a quiet fishing village tucked between cliffs, there’s time for an optional boat ride to Seal Island to spot Cape Fur Seals (at own expense).
The journey continues through the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where wildlife such as baboons, Cape Mountain zebra and bontebok roam among the fynbos-covered slopes. Keep an eye out for tortoises and rare birds as you explore this rugged headland. Today, explore South Africa’s Cape Winelands on a full-day tour. Known for its crisp white wines and French-style reds, the settlements of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch offer renowned dining and scenic vineyards for expert food and wine pairings.
Begin in Paarl, set against the valley where President Mandela was released from Groot Drakenstein Prison. Visit a local estate for a wine tasting and a tour of the cellar facilities.
Next, head to Franschhoek near the Drakenstein Mountains. Founded nearly 350 years ago by French Huguenots escaping persecution, the town’s wine-making tradition continues today. Enjoy another wine-tasting session at a local vineyard.
End the day in Stellenbosch, South Africa’s second-oldest town. Established by Dutch governor Simon van der Stel, the area is known for its fertile soils, 18th-century architecture and oak-lined streets. Your Stellenbosch wine tasting completes the experience.

Dinner is served back at the lodge this evening, where you may dine under the stars and, with some luck, spot wildlife from the lodge itself.

Today brings another opportunity to explore the vast landscapes of Mjejane’s concession on morning and afternoon game drives, tracking wildlife across diverse habitats and observing how behaviour shifts with the changing light.

After breakfast, depart for Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP) and your international flight to Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) – the gateway to one of the world’s most dramatic natural cascades. After touching down, you’ll be met and transferred to your Zimbabwe accommodation.
In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise on the spectacular Zambezi River, paired with complimentary snacks, beer, wine and local spirits. Relax and watch for animals like hippos, crocodiles and elephants basking in the evening sun.

Start your day with a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of Africa’s most impressive natural wonders. After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Kasane Airport for your scheduled flight to Khwai Airstrip.
This afternoon, a transfer will bring you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the rest of the day as you please. Mankwe Tented Retreat offers a plethora of thrilling activities such as game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve, mokoro safaris on the Khwai River or spa treatments should you wish to unwind.

Today is yours for the taking, with a plethora of wildlife-viewing opportunities around Mankwe.
Across the region’s wild landscapes, lions roam in search of the antelope, zebra and buffalo that thrive here year-round. Keep watch for resident lion prides, as well as elusive leopards and hyenas. With luck, you may even spot the endangered African wild dog, one of Africa’s rarest predators.
Guests then have time to relax back at the lodge, where wildlife often wanders through camp and birdlife is abundant. After sunset, those keen to stay out can experience a thrilling night drive, using spotlights to seek out nocturnal wildlife in the surrounding wilderness.
