Rangelands Outback Camp

Rangelands Outback Camp is perched atop a dramatic mesa on Rangelands Station, a working cattle property approximately 20 minutes north of Winton in outback Queensland. Access to this Rangelands station by private vehicle is not permitted. Australian Age of Dinosaurs is a 30-minute drive away and the Waltzing Matilda Centre is 20 minutes away. The property is located approximately a 15-minute drive from Winton Airport (WIN), which is serviced twice-weekly by REX Air from Townsville. 7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

• Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

• Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
• Daily chef-prepared breakfast and dinner are set-menu. Dining times will be advised by hosts at check-in.
• A light lunch may be made available if required for guests not joining a day tour. A minimum 48 hours’ notice is required.
• Dietary Requirements: Any requests for special dietary requirements need to be advised at time of booking. Due to the off-grid remote location we have had to implement a responsible policy for catering to dietary allergies. As such we can accommodate those dietary requirements that do not challenge our kitchen and food suppliers. We are unable to guarantee to guests with coeliac disease that there will be no cross contamination of gluten. Please inform the team at time of booking if you suffer from any food allergies to ensure that your health and well-being needs are met.
• Join your hosts each afternoon for exclusive sunset drinks on Sunset Deck. This includes options of champagne, wine, beers plus shared canapes.
• Premium wines and beers are served with dinner. Champagne, wine and beer are served during sunset drinks. There are no set times, this is catered to planning arrangements with guests on-site.
• Shuttle transfers to Winton township are arranged upon check-in.
• No self-driving is permitted on Rangelands Station. All guests are transferred via a dedicated Rangelands vehicle from Winton. Guests are provided with a secure car space in Winton to leave their car for no additional charge.
• Private road transfers may be arranged between Longreach Airport or town and Rangelands property for an additional charge of A$170 per person each way (minimum two guests required), lasting approximately two hours. Please request airport transfers at the time of booking. Longreach Airport is serviced daily by QantasLink from Brisbane.
• This exclusive access camp operates off-grid and has been carefully planned to protect the surrounding natural environment. The six luxury tents are powered by their own solar panels with the added support of a backup generator. To protect our natural environment, we ask guests to leave their own toiletries at home. Our luxury ensuites include a selection of fully natural and biodegradable products for your use.
• While it is encouraged to unplug and unwind during your stay, Rangelands Outback Camp recognises the need to remain connected with family and friends. Telstra 3G/4G service is available in most locations within the camp. Guests can use the camp phone when required.
• There is a pharmacy, hospital and ambulance service in Winton.
• All tents and communal property facilities are non-smoking.
• Guests will be asked to complete a guest registration form prior to check-in and will be asked to complete a guest waiver form for the rift walk. The property will reach out to the guests to send the forms.

Return private airport tranfsers:

• Guests need to provide arrival and departure details from Winton Airport (WIN) in advance, at time of booking, or at least one week before arrival so that the hotel can arrange the transport.
• Transfers to/from Longreach Airport (LRE) can be organised at an additional fee.
