Local Tips — Exploring Nubra Valley delights
If you feel like stepping out, Panah - The Earthen Retreat is not far from some of the area’s best attractions. The Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley, is a 20-minute drive away. About 2.5 hours away is Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world; a must-visit for amazing photos. About three hours away is Leh Market, where you can lose yourself shopping for jewellery, clothes and other trinkets.
