It’s a short drive to the stunning Daintree Rainforest and is located with easy access to the mesmerising Great Barrier Reef. The hotel is approximately a one-hour drive from Cairns Airport (CNS). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

Update 3 January 2025, 1.11pm AEDT: Please note that scheduled roof repairs for Building B at Beach Club Port Douglas will occur from 16 February 2025 to 7 March 2025. Scaffolding and exclusion zones will be in place near the poolside. For any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the resort. Please note,this will include loud noises and echoes throughout the resort. Parts of the pool area may be inaccessible.

We chose this resort primarily for its stunning lagoon pool, and it exceeded our expectations! The rooms were equally impressive—we opted for two adjoining rooms, including a spa room and a penthouse. The setup gave us access to a spacious kitchen, which we didn’t necessarily need for cooking but appreciated for the extra room to relax. We did, however, make good use of the barbecue a couple of times! The rooms themselves were beautiful, with high ceilings and lovely views. The resort’s amenities were equally fantastic—the gym was well-equipped, and the pool bar and restaurant were both excellent. The staff were warm, accommodating, and consistently helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The entire resort was impeccably maintained, and we can’t recommend it highly enough!

Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Pool was very nice with towels and toys provided. Breakfast was really good every day with lots of fresh fruit and eggs made to order. Beach is literally about a block away and absolutely beautiful. Couple things to note: not all buildings have elevators and you’ll have to take stairs to your room, so if your preference isn’t to carry luggage up three flights or go up and down them daily, be sure to make that known when booking. Also, menu for lunch/dinner is limited to only a couple items and they’re all Asian based, so plan accordingly. Main area where restaurants are is only a few blocks away, so just know you’ll be walking to eat for those meals. Highly recommend Tin Shed, Zinc, and Salsa to eat and Wicked Ice Cream for dessert!

We enjoyed our stay at The Beach Club. Our only criticism was the cleanliness- more specifically with the bedding. On two occasions we requested our bedding to be changed as mold was found on one set of sheets (maybe due to the climate/ humidity), and red stains (food or blood, neither is preferred) on another set. Diligence is needed from house keeping in ensuring bedding is clean when refreshing bedsheets. The staff were quick to rectify both issues happily. The concierge team were always so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool area was lovely and well kept. The location was great and walking distance into Port Douglas Main Street for so many choices for dining.

Will return if ever in port Douglas again. Overall, this is a four-star property. Don’t expect a five star hotel when you come here although the service here is definitely close to 5 star. Decent value for money. Beach vibe, quiet hotel. Location- very well located within the port Douglas town walking distance from nearly every restaurant. And it’s walking distance from the beach. The breakfast – was quite decent, special mention to the chef who saw that we were craving some Asian food and Proactively served us a curry. Otherwise the breakfast is adequate nothing like a big five star spread though but with fresh eggs and fruit- More than adequate. Perhaps add a juicer. The pool – the Lagoon pool is nice. The rooms – this is the tricky part, check-in We were given two rooms one on the ground floor with a ‘wall’ view one on the second floor with an outside street view when we requested for a change there were no other rooms available however for a small price they upgraded one of the rooms to much better view- a pool view. The room themselves were decent. Recommendation – while booking make sure to request for a room with the Lagoon view and with STRONG WIFI CONNECTION and if it’s not available, you’re better off going for another property Service - most of the employees were extremely courteous and were willing to go out of the way, smile and help us whenever we needed it. Some of them were still in training Concierge- the concierge desk was extremely kind and helpful. They had the right ideas and were quick to help us when we needed it.
