The Picker's Hut

The Picker’s Hut is located on a working Merino sheep farm and vineyard. The local bakery and pub are within a 15-minute drive, plus the restaurants, bars and boutiques of Hobart are just a 40-minute drive from the property. Discover the Derwent Valley, the Coal River Valley, the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) and many other local walks and experiences within a short drive. The cabin is located a 45-minute drive from Hobart Airport (HBA). Airport transfers are not included, please plan accordingly.

This will secure your package and give you the flexibility to choose your travel dates — within the book by and validity period and subject to availability. To select dates post purchase, simply select ‘My Escapes’ under the ‘My Account’ tab and follow the prompts.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for Luxury Escapes credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your Luxury Escapes credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with Luxury Escapes. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

• The arrival breakfast pack includes items such as, but not limited to: cereals, local sourdough bread, fresh farm eggs, milk and butter.
• Guests are able to choose between a bottle of pinot gris, rose or chardonnay for their complimentary bottle of Invercarron wine.
• Guests can confirm the time of the private vineyard and farm tour with the property.
• No advanced booking is required for the local distillery tour and tasting. The property will provide guests with a voucher to book.
• Farm-to-Plate Experience: Most dietary requirements (excluding vegan) can be accommodated with notice. Please advise at the time of booking in the ‘Special Comments’ field at time of purchase. The experience is held at The Picker’s Hut from 4.30pm. Guests need to contact property to pre-book.
