Getting to Shangri La’s Villingili Resort and Spa is easy with two great options to get there. 

The first option is to travel directly to Gan International Airport which is located just a few minutes speedboat away from the resort.  Gan only has Sri Lankan Airlines that services this airport international with direct services from Colombo.  Sri Lankan Airlines have connections that are available from Melbourne, London, Singapore, most India cites, Hong Kong and Dubai.  Plus for our Australian based customers when purchasing your flights with our in house flights team, your package includes a AU$75.00 flight credit to use towards flights with Sri Lankan Airlines.  See the fine print for full details. 

The alternative option is to fly into Male International Airport and take a domestic flight from Male to Gan, which is approximately a 70 minute scenic flight.  From Gan Airport you will be taken to the resort via speedboat.  The cost of the scenic flight from Male to Gan is US430.00 per adult plus 22% tax and service charge and US$340.00 per child plus 22% tax and service fee.  Most major carriers fly to Male and there is direct flights from London (seasonal), Zurich (seasonal), Frankfurt (seasonal), Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Dubai, Doha, Istanbul and many more.  

Return 24-hour speedboat transfers from Gan International Airport are included in these packages.

Water Villa / Ocean View Tree House Villa - Packages are valid for two adults.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is three adults or two adults and two children. See the ‘Extra Guest Policy’ below:

Extra Guest Policy: An additional guest (aged 12 years and over) may stay for a surcharge of USD$250 per night, sleeping on a rollaway bed with accommodation only. Extra guests may upgrade to the all-inclusive package for an additional USD$165 per night. Payable directly to the resort.

Child Policy: Up to two children (aged 11 years and under) may stay free of charge sleeping on a rollaway bed with accommodation only. Children (aged between 6 - 11) may upgrade to the all-inclusive package for an additional USD$77.50 per night. Meals are free of charge for children aged under 6 years. Payable directly to the resort.

Baby Policy: One infant (aged one year and under) may stay free of charge and will not count towards maximum room occupancy. A cot can be provided by the hotel free of charge.

Connecting rooms are not available, subject to availability.

Please note: Alcoholic drinks are to be consumed in restaurants and bars only. There is no in-villa dining. Alcoholic drinks will only be served to guests aged 18 years and over. Alcohol will only be served between 10am and 12am daily. Soft drinks are served between 6am and 12am daily.

Please note: If guests wish to dine at food outlets that are not included in the package, a USD$110 meal credit per person will be applied. This may only be used once daily.
