FAQs

Where to stay in Vanuatu?

Vanuatu is made up of more than 80 islands, so choosing where to stay on Vanuatu holiday package could be harder than first thought!

Travel to three of the main islands – Efate, Tanna or Santo – to experience the best in tropical living, hiking through rainforests, snorkelling and diving in impossibly clear waters and participating in local festivals and traditions. Wherever your days take you, you can rest assured you’ll be resting easy in the luxury accommodation included in your Vanuatu holiday package.

What to do in Vanuatu?

A Vanuatu holiday package can be as exciting or relaxing as you like. Swim, snorkel or sink your toes into the white sands of Champagne Beach or Bokissa Beach on Santo, or discover Paradise Cove near Port Vila on Efate.

There’s plenty to explore underneath Vanuatu as well – wrecks of yachts, planes, cargo ships and even an ocean liner sit on the bottom of the sea just a short boat ride from the island, making for the perfect underwater playground.

Venture off the beaten track with a visit to Ambrym, just south of Santo. It’s been largely untouched by Western influence, so is a great example of local tradition. It’s also home to twin volcanoes, Mount Benbow and Mount Marum, the main reason for the island’s black soil.

What currency is used in Vanuatu?

The local currency is the vatu (VTU). Some businesses may accept Australian dollars, but it’s best to keep it simple by exchanging some cash either before you leave for your Vanuatu holiday package or once you arrive.
