Important:

  • It is highly recommended you arrive at least two hours prior to the kayak meeting time at the edge of Lake Rotomahana, you are responsible for getting to the meeting point on time
  • Shuttle service is available on request, please email info@paddleboardrotorua.com to arrange
  • If you choose to take the shuttle service, the self-guided walk option may not be available
  • The duration for kayaking portion of this tour is up to 90 minutes. Please allow total duration of at least 4.5 hours if opting for the self-guided walk, and 3.5 hours if taking the shuttle bus
  • Floatation devices are provided for all participants
  • A low level of fitness is recommended, no experience is required
  • Paddleboard Rotorua holds an approved navigation safety license for operations
  • Tour operates despite rainy weather if regulations allow

Terms & Conditions:

  • In the event of inclement weather, the tour may be cancelled and the operator will be in touch for a refund
  • Outdoor activities carry inherent risks, by participating you do so under your own free will and the understanding the operator cannot guarantee your safety
  • You are required to disclose any previous or existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate
  • A zero tolerance policy for drug and alcohol use applies for the safety of participants
  • A weight limit of 220kg total per kayak applies
  • This experience is not suitable for children under the age of 5. All children under the age of 17 must be supervised by a responsible adult aged 18+ per participant at all times (one adult per child required)
  • This tour is in an active volcanic and geothermal area with a range of hazardous features such as boiling water and steaming geysers. The activity of these features has been mild for many years however the operator cannot guarantee your safety in regards to these natural features; participation in the activity is therefore at the participant’s sole risk
