  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class. Late arrivals and no-shows voids offer

Important:

  • Japanese cooking classes can cater to different dietary requirements. Please let the vendor know of your requirements by email at time of booking to hello@otaoktichen.com.au
  • Please highlight any food allergies you may have at time booking
  • All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. The adult must supervise the child(ren) throughout and assist them during the cookery class if required
  • Any food and drinks not specified above are not included
  • Transport is not included
  • Please allow up to three hours for this experience

Terms & Conditions:

  • Must be aged 18+ for alcohol consumption
  • This experience cannot accommodate or refund for those who arrive after the scheduled start time, even if you call ahead. The instructor will be expected to start on time and will not be able to repeat the health and safety and/or demonstrations at the beginning of the class
  • Otao Kitchen reserves the right to cancel any experiences and events up to five (5) days prior to the experience, in which event a full refund will be made
  • Minimum number of five people applies for classes to proceed. No experiences will be cancelled within five (5) days of scheduled date and every effort will be made to consolidate numbers so that the booked experiences will successfully start
  • Participants must follow all hygiene and safety procedures. It is recommended that you wear practical clothing, including shoes that cover your toes, a minimal amount of jewellery and hair tied back where necessary

Cancellation:

  • This experience is non-refundable
  • No refund or reschedule will take effect (1) if you fail to arrive at the venue at the time stipulated, (2) if you voluntarily leave your class after it has commenced, (3) if you need to leave the event for reasons of bereavement, injury or illness. Travel insurance and medical insurance are therefore strongly recommended
  • In the event that you are unwell, please send someone in your place. Participants who are not unwell will still be expected to attend
  • In some cases, Otao Kitchen may need to cancel after the experience has commenced. In the event that Otao Kitchen must cancel, participants are eligible for a full refund or a replacement experience at a later date convenient to both parties. Any other costs associated with travel to the designated pick-up point, overnight accommodation, meals and so on will not be covered

Changes to Booking:

  • For rescheduling made more than 14 days prior to the event, there is no charge to change to your new date. After the first date change, there will be $49 per person per date change surcharge. For rescheduling made within 14 days prior to the event, the vendor can only accept that you are sick with a medical certificate, and they will still charge $49 for administration fee

  • Entire value must be used in one visit; any unused portions will be forfeited, and cannot be used at a later date
