Enjoy a hearty breakfast before meeting your guide in the lobby at 9am for a full day of exploration around Kenya’s capital.
Visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, one of the oldest wildlife charities in Africa, to hear how the charity works to rescue and rehabilitate elephants. Take a lunch break at the Tamarind Brasserie garden restaurant, then head over to the stately Karen Blixen Museum. Wander the colonial house and grounds at the foot of the Ngong Hills, discovering the setting for ‘Out of Africa’ – a highly acclaimed memoir by Danish author Karen Blixen, later adapted into an award-winning film.
Later, encounter one of Africa’s best-loved animals at the Giraffe Centre. Ascend feeding platforms to come eye-to-eye with these gentle giants, or take a stroll through their habitat, established to protect the vulnerable giraffe population.
Early this morning, you will be briefed on the exciting safari tours ahead before being whisked away to the magnificent Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club resort. Set in sprawling landscaped gardens with majestic views of Mount Kenya, this spectacular stay is yours to enjoy for three nights.
Once you’ve checked in, spend the afternoon at leisure, reclining by the pool or signing up for one of the hotel’s optional activities (bookable direct with the hotel).

Board your safari vehicle this morning and travel to the Solio Ranch to spend the day game viewing within the ranch, host to a robust population of white rhinos. Groups of these imposing creatures wander the grassy plains in the company of black rhinos, buffalo, zebra and more.
In the late afternoon, head back to your hotel for dinner and time to relax.

Continue your wildlife-spotting quest with a trip to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, known for its dedication to rehabilitating animals rescued from the black market and home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. The conservancy also hosts the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where visitors can see this curious primate.
Enjoy a full day of wildlife appreciation before returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Savour one final dinner at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club resort, then retire to your well-appointed room for the rest of your night.

After breakfast, you’ll board a light aircraft for your included 11am flight from the Nanyuki Airstrip to the Ngerende Airstrip at the border of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, followed by a drive to the Fairmont Mara Safari Camp for a three-night stay. This intimate property is home to just a small collection of luxury tents and offers a true safari experience, elevated by the comfort of top-tier facilities. Unfold the floor-to-ceiling canvas doors to reveal magnificent views of the hippo- and crocodile-filled Mara River from your private deck.
In the afternoon, join a shared safari into the Ol Choro Oiroua Conservancy for the chance to glimpse Kenya’s most exciting wildlife.

Rise early this morning, you’re in for the flight of a lifetime with your BONUS Maasai Mara hot air balloon safari. Depart at 4am for your transfer to a remote location, where you’ll watch the balloon envelope inflate before lifting off as the sun rises. Drift silently above golden plains, winding rivers and forests, and if you’re lucky, spot elephants, giraffes, hippos and more from the air. After an hour-long flight, land in the open savannah for a Champagne bush breakfast served with fresh Kenyan coffee, fruit and silver cutlery – a magical moment many consider the highlight of their safari.
Later, return to the conservancy for another afternoon of thrilling game drives. Seek out the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – and keep watch for hippos in the shallows or crocodiles sunning themselves along the banks.
Spend the rest of your time relaxing in your safari tent, enjoying dinner and stargazing under vast African skies.
BONUS Maasai Mara hot air balloon safari
Enjoy another full day of game drives as you set off into the wondrous wilds of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Stop along the way for a picnic lunch, then dive back into the abundant wildlife spotting of this expansive park. Return to camp this evening for a final night of dining.
Bid farewell to Fairmont Mara Safari Camp after breakfast as you are transferred to the airstrip for your included flight, departing 11.15am and arriving back to Nairobi around 1pm. Dine at Carnivore Restaurant with an included lunch (drinks excluded), then relax at Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport in a comfortable dayroom until 6pm (meals and drinks available at an additional cost, payable directly to Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport), at which time you may set off for your departing flight.
Your final transfer will be to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), where your grand Kenyan voyage concludes.
