  • Please note: A surcharge of $8 per person for the Environmental Management Charge (EMC) will be collected upon check-in. The role of Nautilus Aviation in relation to the charge, is to collect and remit the charge to Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority

Cancellations

  • Flight cancellations require a minimum notification of 48 hours prior to departure
  • Cancellation notice of 48 hours is required for a full refund claim and 24-48 hours, for a 50% refund claim
  • No refund applies if booking is cancelled inside 24 hours

  • All tours are subject to availability and weather. All passengers must receive a safety briefing prior to departure
  • Personal items should not exceed 10kg and be carried in a small soft sided bag for easy stowage
  • Seat allocation including window seats for scheduled flights (non-exclusive) are decided based on weight and balance and at the discretion of the pilot or ground crew to ensure the safe carriage of all passengers
  • Prior to any snorkelling activity you will be required to complete a snorkel safety questionnaire. Information provided will be shared with your pilot so they can best assist you in the unlikely event of an emergency. The form can be downloaded prior to departure, or on the morning of travel
  • All flights are on a shared basis and are not on a private basis unless machine has been chartered or the product is advertised as such
  • Picnic lunch set food inclusions apply

Terms & Conditions:

  • Vlasoff Cay is a public sand cay and as such cannot be reserved. On the rare occasion it is occupied on arrival, you will not be permitted to land. If this occurs passengers will receive an extended reef scenic flight back to the Pier Heliport (total flying time 45 minutes including initial 20 minutes from Cairns to Vlasoff Cay). Passengers will be able to keep their picnic lunch and Nautilus Aviation’s reservations team will advise and assist with any refunds applicable
  • It may be necessary to apply a fuel surcharge to the ticket price. In such cases, any charge will be collected on departure. No fuel surcharge is presently applicable
  • Passengers aged 3+ are legally required to occupy their own seat and are therefore required to pay full ticket price
  • Subject to conditions, children under 3 may travel free of charge when seated on a parent’s/guardian’s lap. For bookings of more than one infant (0-2), please contact Helifish as aviation conditions apply
  • Individual passenger weights and accompanying carry-on luggage MUST be advised upon booking. Weight variances greater than 10% may incur an additional fee. Maximum single seat payload is 130kg. For passenger comfort and aircraft weight and balance, passengers exceeding 130kg are required to purchase an additional seat at 50% of ticket price – this is non-commissionable and payable to Nautilus Aviation on day of travel
  • Reservations are held only when weights are received, and full payment is made
  • Tours and aircraft substitutions are subject to Management and/or pilot discretion, weather, air-traffic control and availability. In the event of bad weather, providing there is availability, date changes are welcome or in the worst-case scenario, cancellations
