EPIC SANA Marquês Hotel

Excellent! Close to El Corte Inglés. Excellent, close to pharmacies, supermarkets, and El Corte Inglés department store.

Only stayed 2 nights at this hotel but I will definitely be back. It was a wonderful stay and every interaction with people working at this hotel was friendly. Valter at check in and during our stay was amazing absolutely nothing was a bother he explained so much and was always helpful. He truly is an asset to his team. The breakfast service was amazing and vast great service. The bedroom is lovely modern and comfy beds. The lounge bar and area was beautiful. Loved roof top with great views. Relaxing time in spa after the gym. I cant wait to come back. It was a perfect stay in Lisbon before getting on our cruise. Thank you!

The hotel was excellent and beautiful and extraordinarily clean. The pools were wonderful and the rooftop pool was extraordinary. I was a little bit upset about the laundry service for a couple of reasons -- we had been traveling for 10 days and needed to have undergarments cleaned. I had them in a bag and just put them in their laundry bag and left it on the bed for them to take. Well, housekeeping never took it. The next morning I saw housekeeping and asked her to take it and she did. Well, we went out and about all day - came back to a note left under our door to call reception ASAP -- I did and they said they couldn't do the laundry because I didn't count the pieces and fill out the form so another whole day with nothing. I finally got it back the next evening (so 3 days later) and I already knew the price, but we had no choice but to pay it -- 6 Euros per undergarment (just underwear) -- I mean, seriously??? I paid over 120 euros to wash underwear. But I had my hands tied as I just needed the garments cleaned so we could continue with our journey. We also had dinner at the bar one evening as we needed something light and we were there for almost 3 hours -- service was so slow and they were only serving about 4 tables!!! And the "chef" couldn't make a ham and cheese sandwich (mistra) when they had ham on the menu for other things. Just a couple of nuances on service more than anything else. Be prepared to also pay 27 Euros per day for parking, but they do have valet.

We enjoyed out stay very much. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere with a lovely hotel bar and live music in the evening. Everyone was very friendly and the drinks at the bar were delicious. We ate dinner at Allora which was good but very overpriced in our opinion for a basic Italian restaurant. We did feel for a 5 star hotel there were a few things missing in order to make it that 5 star experience. The SPA area (indoor pool, sauna, and steam room) needs a bit of updating/upkeep. They also should not allow kids in this area to maintain a tranquil, spa like feel. That certainly took away from our experience. The outdoor pool, while it has a nice view, doesn't offer anything additional. There are only a handful of lounge chairs and a basic and overpriced bar (Nothing unusual for a 5 star hotel). Nothing screams luxury. I would stay here again however my expectations would be different.
