• From 168 hours before the booking date

• Closed shoes - running shoes or sneakers, for example
• Shorts or tight-fitting pants (so they won’t get caught in moving bike parts)
• T-shirt or similar for when you’re riding
• Fleece and/or light jacket for when you’re resting
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
• A small backpack for personal items
• Camera
• Extra food and water

Availability:

• Available every day: Pick-up any time after 10am; return by 5pm
• Not valid: 25 December
• Bookings valid to 30 September 2026
• Pick-up Point: Get Fixed Bicycle Cafe Brewtown, 23 Blenheim Street, Maidstone, Upper Hutt 5018

Important:

• Food, drinks and hotel transfers are not included
• Fees may apply for the late return of hired equipment
• Height restrictions apply for all participants: 130cm for children and 190cm+ for adults

Terms & Conditions:

• Itinerary is subject to change depending on availability, weather and road conditions
• Wildfinder will get in touch with you the day before the event is due to take place, should the booking not go ahead due to poor weather. If you’ve supplied a NZ-based phone number, they will try to call you on this, but if they can’t reach you or you’ve supplied an international number, they will default to the email address supplied – please remember to keep an eye on your inbox. The decision-making process around weather and confirmations is as follows:
  • If the weather looks fine and you are happy to proceed, you will go ahead with the booking
  • If the weather looks a bit dubious (i.e. may be a bit uncomfortable, but not unsafe) they will discuss this with you and make a joint decision as to whether you go ahead
  • If the weather looks awful (i.e. unsafe, or totally miserable), Wildfinder will call the booking off
• Please note: There is no pressure on the participant at any point to go ahead with a booking in weather that they are uncomfortable with, and Wildfinder does not charge for any cancellations due to weather. All of their decisions are based on objective safety criteria and processes, tempered by experience and common sense, and are reviewed frequently
• Wildfinder cannot be held accountable for any cancellations or changes caused by weather conditions, road hazards, vehicle malfunctions, or other unexpected circumstances that may impede the scheduled tour. Wildfinder retains the right to cancel or alter any trip due to uncontrollable factors, including but not limited to weather conditions, mechanical issues, as well as limited or unavailable parking on-site
• All riders must be wearing suitable helmets at all times.
• All riders must familiarise themselves with, and adhere to, New Zealand road rules before riding on public roads. More info can be found at New Zealand Transport Association (NZTA) Cycling Rules
