Wonil Handwritten is a really nice new hotel owned by the Forrest foundation. Service was excellent—exactly what we have come to expect from Accor Hotels. In particular, Joshi provided outstanding service, listened to us, and was genuinely helpful. We only changed hotels to be closer to the city, but our experience here was exceptional. The hotel has great views by the swan river, good location. But parking was an issue especially during semester time at UWA Looking forward to come back next time I’m in Perth. Congratulations to the team for their dedication and excellent service!

An amazing location with a view that is just about unrivaled. However, the view is carrying the hotels poor service. From the moment I arrived, the service was notably lack lustre. I stayed for a few days and struggled on my own to carry my bags, however reception suggested I make a few trips and chuckled at me struggling, no offer to assist. On day one the coffee machine didn’t work at breakfast but their replacement service forgot my order twice, I had coffee after my meal. The breakfast buffet is a stretch of the imagination. A buffet contains a range of items, not just bread and odd museli that you reinforce bunkers with. I was informed on the first day the restaurant would be closed for a private event, they did offer room service as an alternative. At arrival to breakfast on day 2 at just after 9 (on the weekend) I was informed they had a busy lunch and were closing the ‘buffet’ early. I was asked to hurry up and place my order. The order arrived drowning in hollandaise, with one very poached rubbery egg. What is in these dishes that is intrinsically west Australian? I thought the menu was focused on this. The hotel has all the makings of something amazing, the staff are really letting you down.

I had high hopes for my stay, but unfortunately, it was marred by the unprofessional behaviour of the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was met with condescending attitudes and a lack of basic hospitality. The front desk clerk barely acknowledged me, offering curt responses when I had questions. The staff didn’t seem interested in providing any level of service or assistance. At one point, I was even spoken to as though I were inconveniencing them by asking for a simple favour. (My door card wouldn’t work every single day) For a hotel that prides itself on customer service, this experience was incredibly disappointing. It's a shame because the hotel itself was decent, with clean rooms and a beautiful location. However, the behaviour of the staff made it impossible to feel comfortable or welcome during my stay. To the point my mum left and stayed elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel if you expect basic courtesy and respect from the people who are supposed to make your experience enjoyable.
