Freycinet Resort is positioned in the heart of Tasmania’s stunning Freycinet Peninsula, a stone’s throw from the renowned Wineglass Bay, famous Australian wineries and Freycinet National Park. The resort is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart Airport (HBA), in the the state’s capital, and a two-hour drive from Launceston Airport (LST). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

A magical spot inside the Freycinet National Park, surrounded by nature and wildlife at our doorstep. The cabin was comfortable with a lovely king bed, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. The outlook and view were absolutely spectacular looking out over the National Park towards the ocean. However, the 4km trip to the resort on a dirt road was not ideal, especially in a hire car and the dining choices were limited so we did go into Coles Bay a few times. But otherwise could not fault it, and the staff were friendly and very helpful, with great knowledge of the local area.

We stayed here in January. Lovely location but a hotel under renovation charging high luxury hotel prices. Grounds not maintained and building materials everywhere. Accommodation was a Big4 cabin at best with a hot water service at your front door, not even a king bed rather two single put together. Come back in 3 years it might match the quality marketing they have put behind it. The owner has invested in art and a grand entrance before the accommodation and main areas. Very very disappointed and do not recommend staying here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We recommend the food but the restaurant needs updating to create an experience that matches the price and quality of the food. Chef, you were fabulous. For readers reference the ‘entry level’ room the owner mentions we booked was over $800 per night. I did not take photos of the room but it was not entry level luxury. We did see the retreat cabjns they reference and I would say they did look well done.
