I never thought that I would sleep with Kumamon in my life. The room was charmingly decorated with Kumamon-themed bedding, pillows, and plushies, creating a fun and cozy atmosphere. Even the shower curtain carried the playful Kumamon design, adding to the immersive experience. The room itself was spacious with modern amenities, a comfortable bed, and a large window offering a nice city view. The decor balanced functionality and theme. The hotel exterior exuded a sleek appeal, and its location provided easy access to the city’s attractions😍

A very nice stay, thank you for everything. It feel I was at the home of Kumamon, the local celebrity. So nice. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, checkin/out is done quickly. Location is very good, airport bus at hotel door, near the streetcar and walking distance from main station. Kumamoto is a nice city, a different atmosphère than mega japaneses citys. The castle is beautiful !!

Staying for one night as part of a tour. Arrived for a very good lunch buffet. Room is spacious, clean and well laid out with all the comforts you’d expect. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the JR station or slightly less in the opposite direction to the nearest 7-11. If you prefer, the tram is just a couple of minutes away and we only saw one (out of 3) packed tram heading to the station with plenty of seats on the others. The only downside is that the internet performance isn’t up to streaming quality.

Ultimately while brief the stay was disappointing. On the positive side, the service here was mostly very good and I appreciated the help with shipping a suitcase to an Osaka hotel. I was a bit surprised though why the staff could not have proactively moved my luggage to the room ahead of my check in, something that occurred at the ANA Crowne Plaza in Nagasaki., Rooms are somewhat dated, although I was a bit surprised given the carpet in the level I was on seemed new. The biggest letdown though were the beds. Far too hard, although lumpy in parts and these definitely need replacing. There is a limited pillow menu and believe me most people will need an alternative to the pillows provided.
