Pre- & Post-Tour Accommodation

Pre- and post-tour accommodation can be booked to extend your stay before or after your tour by contacting our Tours Concierge Team at tours@luxuryescapes.com.

Luxury Escapes uses a range of accommodation partners. For pre- and post-tour accommodation options where we can offer the same hotel as the start and end of your tour, your pre- and post-tour accommodation will be booked independent of your tour. If the hotel for your tour changes, this will be independent of your pre- or post-tour accommodation booking. In this instance, change fees may apply on your pre- or post-tour accommodation. If you choose to change, change fees can be found in your ‘My Escapes’.

For pre- and post-tour accommodation bookings, you may be required to check out of your room and check in again on the first or last day of your tour. You will need to confirm these details directly with the hotel.

  • Optional experiences may be updated prior to departure to accommodate changes in weather, common seasonal changes to timetables and transport routes, and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Optional experiences that require flight bookings are on a request basis, subject to availability until booked and confirmed, and may incur surcharges.
  • Optional experiences are non-refundable within 60 days of departure, unless cancelled due minimum numbers on tour not being met or unforeseen circumstances on tour.
  • Passengers are permitted one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 23kg on tour.
  • Passengers are permitted one additional, smaller piece of hand-luggage with a maximum weight of 7kg on tour.

Transfers

  • Arrival transfers are available on the first day of your tour only.
  • If you have booked your pre- and post-tour accommodation through Luxury Escapes, transfers may be available for select tours (not available for Trusted Partner operated tours).
  • For complimentary transfers to be fulfilled outside of arrival and departure date, all pre- and post-tour accommodation bookings must be booked through Luxury Escapes no later than 60 days before departure. After this time, any pre- or post-tour accommodation bookings made will not be eligible for complimentary transfers.
  • If you have booked pre- or post-tour accommodation outside of Luxury Escapes, you will forfeit your complimentary airport transfers.
  • Please note ‘Private Transfers’ refers to transfers that are exclusive for your tour group and may be shared among other members of your group if arriving on the same flight or another flight arriving within a 30-minute window.
  • Flight information must be provided to Luxury Escapes 60 days prior to departure in order to book transfers. Please see Destination information for airport pick-up and drop-off information.
  • Optional excursions require a minimum of eight participants to go ahead. Guests will be placed with other Luxury Escapes travellers who may not be members of your tour group.

Tipping

  • Tour: Tipping and gratuities are not included and are at your own discretion.
  • Cruise: The currency onboard the cruise is US$. Service charges (gratuities) for onboard personnel are included in your package.

Please Note:

  • Days 16–18 in Rome are self-guided.
  • The tour portion of your journey will be shared with your Luxury Escapes tour group. The Norwegian Cruise Line cruise will be shared with other passengers, and younger children may be onboard.
  • A Rome city tax of EUR7.5 per person, per night applies, payable direct to your Rome accommodation.
  • Arrival: Please book your flights to arrive at Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) by 4pm. Airport transfers are included on the first day of your tour. Your transfer will meet you on arrival and take you to your hotel. Check-in on Day 1 is at 3pm.
  • Departure: Disembarkation on your final day is at 6.15am. Please book your flights to depart from Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) after 3pm. Airport transfers are not included for your tour. The port is located approximately a 2-hour drive from Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino International Airport (FCO).

Onboard Dining

  • Please note onboard dining is subject to change.
  • Freestyle dining is offered onboard Norwegian Epic. If you wish to make a reservation for non-specialty restaurants, please speak to the maitre d’ once onboard. Included dining is available at the following restaurants: O’Sheehan’s Bar & Grill, Garden Cafe, Shanghai’s Chinese Restaurant, Shanghai’s Noodle Bar, Spice H2O, Taste, The Great Outdoors, The Manhattan Room.
  • Select menu items at certain restaurants may have an additional charge (Dining Package Supplement) as part of the Specialty Dining Package.
  • Your included Specialty Dining meals are applicable to guest ages 2 and older. Guests who book an Inside or Oceanview Stateroom will receive one meal in a specialty restaurant included per person. Guests who book a Balcony Stateroom will receive two meals in specialty restaurants included per person. Any unused dining will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for other cruises or cash.
  • There is no minimum or maximum to the number of meals that can be redeemed in a day, however each meal is counted towards the Package.
  • Specialty Dining Packages are honoured in select restaurants. Package prices are subject to change.
  • Any Harvest Caye bars, restaurants, or venues, The Bake Shop, Ice Cream Bar, Gelato, specialty items in the Asian restaurant, Special Occasion/Holiday menus (New Year’s, Christmas, etc.), Jazz Brunch, Wine Lovers and Murder Mystery lunches and beverages are not included as part of the Specialty Dining Packages.
  • Packages include one main course per person ONLY at Cagney’s Steakhouse and Le Bistro. Additional main courses will be charged at the a la carte price listed on the menu.
  • Guests are responsible for 20% gratuities on the retail value of Specialty Dining food and drinks that are purchased onboard and not included as part of the package.
  • Premium menu item upcharges may apply. Additional entree charges may apply.
  • Specialty Dining Packages do not include alcohol.
  • Guests are permitted to pre-reserve Speciality Dining with entertainment included online. However, the guest is responsible for paying the full retail value. If the guest chooses to use the reservation as part of their Specialty Dining Package, they can pre-book via the cruise personaliser prior to the cruise.

Premium Drinks Package

  • Guests must be at least 21 years of age at the time of sailing to qualify for the premium drinks package. If guests are under 21, the premium drinks package does not apply and guests will receive a soft drinks package instead.
  • Premium Drinks Package includes a wide selection of standard soft drinks, beers, spirits, cocktails, wines by the glass and bottled or draft beer up to the value of US$15 per drink throughout your cruise.
  • The retail value of the Premium Drinks Package is US$109 per person, per day, subject to change.
  • The retail value of the Soft Drinks Package is US$7.95 per person, per day, subject to change.
  • Eligible guests are entitled to two drinks per person, per transaction.
  • Guests who receive the Soft Drinks Package may obtain fountain soft drinks at any bar, lounge or restaurant.
  • A 20% discount will be given on bottles of wine (champagne and sparkling included), wine and spirit experiences, tastings or flights purchased onboard.
  • Excludes minibar, wine and spirit experiences, tastings or flights, room service, package sales, ship-specific promotions or beer buckets, designated Super Premium brands (subject to change), bottled wine, minibar purchases, bottled water, fresh-squeezed juices, specialty coffee beverages, specialty Starbucks locations, Coco’s, energy drinks, vending machines and wine stations.
  • Shore Excursion Credit
  • Shore Excursion Credit is valid for US$50 per port, for one guest per stateroom and is applicable to all tours. In the event your selected tour is less than the value of the credit, the Shore Excursion Credit will be adjusted to match the tour value. Credit is not combinable and will not rollover to next port. If selected excursion is less than US$50, remaining funds cannot be used towards the second guest’s excursion.
  • ‘Guest one’ refers to the first registered guest on the cruise.
  • Shore excursion credit can be redeemed by booking online via ncl.com or onboard.

Internet Package

  • Internet Package can be used any time during the cruise and is valid for 150 minutes per person (for a total of 300 minutes per stateroom), across two devices per stateroom. Internet Package can be used only on one device at a time. Any unused minutes will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for other cruises or cash.

Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is required on all our tours, which (at a minimum) covers medical expenses and repatriation. You may not be permitted to join the tour group if evidence of travel insurance is not provided prior to your trip. If you are unable to obtain travel insurance for whatever reason, you may be required to sign a waiver and/or provide a letter from a medical practitioner which confirms you are fit for travel. Passports & Visas

  • A visa may be required. It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they hold a current visa for the countries visited on tour. If the traveller is on a non-Australian passport, a valid re-entry visa may be required.
  • You are responsible for visas, entry, health and other requirements, and any documents required by laws, regulations, orders and/or requirements of countries visited. Luxury Escapes and/or its servants and agents are not responsible for passport and visa requirements or for any loss you sustain for failing to comply with laws, regulations, orders and/or requirements of countries visited.
  • A valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants).

Traveller Details

  • Traveller Details must be completed for each individual traveller.
  • Travellers must advise of any medical conditions or dietary requirements. Failure to provide such information in advance of your tour may result in an inability to cater to your requirements.
  • We work with exceptional local tour providers to present uniquely crafted packages that encompass sightseeing tours and excursions. Our tour provider partners are dedicated to making every effort to accommodate specific requirements. However, it should be noted that the extent to which they can address mobility and accessibility needs may vary, depending on the nature of the sightseeing tour and activities involved.   • Special dietary requirements can be catered for in most cases, however, on occasion this may not be possible due to location, lack of availability of unique ingredients, and other extenuating circumstances. It is always advised to carry any necessary supplies with you.
  • Passport details are required for all bookings. In some cases, a digital copy of your passport may be requested by Luxury Escapes to book certain elements of your trip.
  • If a photo of your passport is requested, failure to provide valid photo ID will result in your booking being cancelled and all monies paid remaining non-refundable. When requested, a digital copy of your passport must be provided for each guest at least 48 hours after booking.

  • It’s important to note that specific activities and intensity levels may vary between different tour operators and destinations. When selecting a group tour, it’s advisable to carefully review the itinerary, activity descriptions and fitness requirements to ensure a suitable match for your preferences and physical capabilities.
    • Relaxed: Leisurely pace with limited walking or physical demands. Opportunity for ample free time and leisure activities. Suitable for individuals seeking a laidback experience.
    • Moderate: Usually more than one day in a location. Balanced mix of exploration and physical engagement. Suitable for participants with a reasonable level of fitness. Exploring cities on foot, visiting landmarks and guided excursions. Requires a moderate level of stamina and physical activity.
    • Active: Activities most days. Generally, not staying in a location for two days or more. Suitable for participants with high fitness levels and a sense of adventure.

Travel Styles

  • Fully Guided Tour: You’ll have a tour director and driver with you throughout the entire trip, from start to finish.
  • Partially Guided Tour: You’ll have a tour driver and local guides at specific locations or portions of the trip, but not the entire time. There might be different local guides for different regions.
  • Self-Guided Tour: You will not have a guide for your trip. You will be provided detailed trip notes with elements, such as accommodation and transport, pre-booked for you.

Health and Fitness Acknowledgement:

  • Travellers acknowledge that they are required to have a good level of health and fitness to undertake the activities on this tour.
  • There are limitations to the degree of accommodations that can be made if travellers are unable to partake in the included activities on this tour. Please consider suitability as additional costs could apply.
  • Travellers also acknowledge and agree that neither we nor the tour provider will be able to provide medical or other assistance in the event that they are unable to complete any aspect of the tour as a result of their health or physical condition (nor are we liable for any loss, damage, expense, injury or death arising from such).

  • In the event of strikes, lockouts, riots, weather conditions or mechanical difficulties, or for any other reason, any scheduled sailing or port of call may be subject to change.

Passenger Restrictions

  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied, in the same or connecting cabin, by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 21 for the duration of the voyage. Please be aware the tour portion of your journey does not allow children under 12, however your cruise may have younger children onboard.
  • Infants under 12 months cannot be accommodated onboard.
  • Guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy or later at any time during the cruise cannot be accommodated due to safety concerns. Pregnant guests under 24 weeks must provide a doctor’s letter upon request confirming fitness to travel and estimated due date.

Surcharges

Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. Our trusted cruise suppliers will inform guests of these changes as soon as possible.
