The hotel has personality, careful decoration, impeccable, cozy rooms and ready with everything to enjoy your stay. The dining room and its bar are also ideal for having a drink or enjoying food. Regarding its location, it is ideal, across the street is the Train Station, you can walk to Royal Mile about 10 minutes and, above all, enjoying the vibe of the place. The staff is always friendly.

We were completely right with this hotel. It is located in an excellent location, 10 minutes walk from the old city and 5 minutes from the tram stop that takes you to and from the airport. The hotel is classic, but very well maintained and above all... very clean! The room had great views, large and very comfortable. The breakfast is great (the full Scottish breakfast is recommended) and for dinner it is also a good option. Part of the staff is Spanish, so for those of us who come from Spain it is even more comfortable 🤣 We are sure that we will return on our next visit to Edinburgh.

So noisy. Be prepared for the noise in the rooms to sound like you're sleeping in a bus station. The sound insulation in the rooms is terrible, I think primarily an issue with the windows that don't seal closed fully. So you hear everything happening on the street, and Princes street is a very busy street. The drunk who spent 2 hours from 3am singing on the street outside the hotel was the real cream on top. The hotel is OK otherwise, doesn't meet the standard of other Indigo hotels I've been to. More like an Holiday Inn with lipstick on. Service was excellent though, they have great staff.

See attached photos on Google. Not sure why the hotel would think this standard of room is acceptable. Looking at other reviews I'm left to wonder what rooms they were staying in. Anyway, don't mind the open electrical, the electricity wasn't working anyway, so was unable to charge my shaver or toothbrush. After I raised the issues and went out briefly I came back to find a man in my room. I don't recall being told someone would have been sentbso was a bit shocking to walk in and hear footsteps in my bathroom and see a strange man emerge after 9pm... When I called reception the following afternoon to ask after the WiFi, which had been out for several hours, I was asked if I wanted to switch rooms. Sadly, since I'm not just sitting twiddling my thumbs, being asked last minute to pack up and move in the afternoon was a bit inconvenient, but at least they offered. If you aren't accustomed to noise, walk with decent earplugs: as you can see the window can't close, so you will hear everything from the street. The lady who checked me in was pleasant and helpful. Very central location. Was ignored in the restaurant. Will stay somewhere else when I visit again.
