  • Bathurst Island: Take a 2.5-hour ferry ride from Darwin aboard Tiwi Mantawi
  • Wurrumiyanga: Join a local guide for a journey through this progressive modern community
  • Visiting sites: Visit the Early Mission Precinct with its unique Tiwi-style Catholic Church
  • Tiwi women: Spend time with some of them while they weave and paint
  • Smoking Ceremony: See your guides and the ladies perform this to bless their visitors, and demonstrate totem dances and explain the meaning behind them
  • Morning Tea: Sample local billy tea and damper with your morning tea
  • Arts and Crafts Centres: Visit the centres and see where the artists work
  • Arts and crafts at island prices: Locally made artwork, fabric and artefacts can be purchased on the island during your tour. Please ensure you bring cash for purchases. The Museum and local artists take cash only, the Art Centre prefers EFTPOS/Credit Card
