Dive into the realm of landscape and long-exposure photography, guided by Gail Stent at Murrays Bay on Auckland’s North Shore. Prior to the workshop, you’ll be sent a series of online video tutorials to ensure that you are ready for shooting landscape photography. As the day unfolds, seize the opportunity to practice with ND filters and master long-exposure shots, allowing you to capture the magic of water and clouds in motion. Put your lessons into practice the moment that the sun sets in Auckland and snap a dramatic landscape photograph.

New Zealand weather is unpredictable, you can expect to experience a wide range of temperatures in a day. Plan and be prepared for all eventualities. It is advisable to carry warm clothing layers and waterproof gear. Please wear clothing that you feel comfortable in to allow you to concentrate 100% on your photography.

Important:

  • This is an intermediate-level workshop for those wishing to advance their landscape photography. Ideally, participants must have a basic knowledge of photography and be comfortable adjusting camera settings such as aperture and shutter speed
  • The aim of the workshop is to give you more confidence in the creative control of camera settings and shooting in manual mode. You will have a brief session at the start of the workshop/tour, covering camera settings and controls, to be sure everyone is up to speed
  • Food and drinks are not included
  • Transfers are not included
  • Cameras are not included

Terms & Conditions:

  • Maximum group size for this tour is five people
  • Itinerary is subject to change depending on availability and weather conditions
  • In general, the workshop will not be cancelled due to the weather forecast. New Zealand Photography Workshops have never had a weekend where they have not spent the majority of it out shooting
  • If the weather does limit shooting, participants will spend more time learning techniques and post-production. Ultimately, the best photographs can come from any combination of weather conditions and New Zealand Photography Workshops will find subjects and locations to match
  • Please note that the workshops require a minimum number of people to proceed. If there are not enough participants one week beforehand, a full refund will be provided, or you will be given the option to keep your place on the next date

Cancellations:

  • If the booking is cancelled between 7–14 days prior to departure, 50% of the booking value will be forfeit
  • No refunds will be given if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of departure, or for late arrivals and no-shows

  • Changes to booking cannot be accommodated
