Situated along the western edge of the Baa Atoll, on a beautiful UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the secluded paradise of Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is only accessible by speedboat or seaplane. Explore incredibly clear waters and coral reefs – maybe even spot a dolphin while paddling around in the resort’s lagoon, or travel to Hanifaru Bay to snorkel with manta rays.

The resort is located a 40-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. The resort can be reached by seaplane transfer, available during daylight hours only at an additional cost (payable directly to the resort). Alternatively, the resort can be reached by a 30-minute speedboat transfer if guests fly into the domestic Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV), available day or night at an additional cost (payable directly to the resort). Refundable Cancellation Policy

Accommodation bookings can be cancelled with a full refund provided the cancellation is made no less than 45 days prior to check-in. That is cancel by 11:59 pm (local time of property) 45 full days prior to the day of check-in. Excludes flights.

Non-Refundable Cancellation Policy

Please note that ‘Non-Refundable’ packages are guaranteed at the time of booking and not eligible for a refund or date change. Accordingly, please select your package carefully and take note of any cancellation policy applicable to your purchase.

Update: 11th December 2024: As per the amendments to the Tourism Act issued by the Maldivian Government, applicable to all travellers arriving in the Maldives from 1 January 2025, the green tax payable by travellers upon arrival at hotels (including tourist resorts, tourist hotels, hotels, tourist guest houses, tourist vessels) has been increased from USD 6.00 to USD 12.00 per person per day.**

Update 6 December 2024, 3.15pm AEDT:** Effective 1 January 2025, the Government Green Tax will double from US$6 to US$12 per person, per night.

Seaplane Transfer:

The resort is located a 40-minute seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport (MLE).
Seaplane journeys are available during daylight hours only.
Guests arriving at Velana International Airport on an international flight after 3.30 p.m. will need to book a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV) and arrange a 30-minute speedboat transfer.

A Little Slice of Paradise From the moment I arrived at Avani+, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff here are incredible – warm, attentive, and full of positive energy. They truly go above and beyond to ensure you have an unforgettable stay. Food-wise, there’s something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for a lavish buffet, an à la carte experience, or something light like tapas or salads, you won’t be disappointed. I especially loved the themed dinner nights – there was always something new and exciting to try. The accommodations are stunning. My beachfront villa with a private pool was the perfect mix of luxury and privacy, surrounded by lush greenery and just steps from the ocean. Waking up to that view every morning was a dream. There’s plenty to do for every type of traveler. The gym is spacious and well-equipped, families have great childcare options, and the spa is pure bliss – one massage and all my stress melted away. One of my favorite experiences was a morning boat tour, where I got to see dolphins up close, playfully leaping around us. Absolutely magical! The sunset fishing trip was another highlight – and the best part? Any fish you catch can be prepared for lunch the next day. The island itself is perfect for peaceful walks, with shaded, palm-lined paths and a true jungle feel. If you need a lift, the friendly buggy drivers are always happy to help. The house reef is a snorkeling paradise – tons of colorful fish and crystal-clear water, and the dive center provides free gear. Speaking of diving – the dive center blew me away. It’s modern, well-organized, and run by an amazing team. After a two-year break from diving, I really appreciated the ReActivate program to refresh my skills. Everything was super professional, with a strong focus on safety. The dive sites were incredible – I got to see sharks, eagle rays, moray eels, and so many vibrant fish. Huge thanks to Carmen and her team for making my dives so special – I’ll definitely be back! All in all, Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is a dream destination in the Baa Atoll. Beautiful villas, amazing food, world-class diving, and some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. A special shout-out to Judd, Nisha, Rikaz, May, Carmen, and Maanu – you all made my first Maldives trip truly unique! Warm regards, Helena from Germany

Our stay with my husband at this stunning resort was magical. Pure luxury atmosphere and service— like stepping into The White Lotus series. :D We stayed in a beautiful beachfront villa, it was super comfy for a couple with amazing outdoor bathroom and very private terrace. There were great activities offered by the resort (yoga, snorkelling etc.) A huge thank you to Resort Manager Sihaz, whose professionalism and kindness truly stood out. His entire team was exceptional—always smiling, friendly, and eager to help. Special mentions to Nancy and Aktin from Housekeeping for their attentive yet discreet care, Nazafel (not sure about the name) and Adam at Reception for their helpfulness, and the amazing butler service that made our stay effortless. The bar and bartenders were top-notch, ensuring we had the perfect drinks to accompany the dreamy sunsets. Breakfast was varied and delicious, catering to all tastes. Can't wait to return! :)

This resort is heavenly. A real piece of paradise. Brand new resort do everything is perfect and finished to a high degree. Food choices are good. But the snorkeling and scuba options here were terrific. Plus had a couple high profile house hold name celebrities staying along side is.

Property is well maintained, service is great and timely. Beautiful beach and lots of marine life close to shore. Food is slightly pricey, only gripe is we had to wait 2 hrs for the seaplane from Male airport it would be better if the frequency of the plane was increased so travelers don't waste precious time. Suggest that sunset fishing should be moved back by half hr, fishes only bite once it's dark and it's a hefty price to pay usd160 per pax.
