Uluru Morning Tour and Guided Base Walk
Join your guide for a 10.5 km walk around Uluru’s base, starting with a light breakfast as you take in the vast surroundings. Begin at Kuniya Piti, a sacred site, and hear the Tjukurpa story of the Mala Men, sharing the beliefs and law of the Anangu, the local Aboriginal people. Continue along the Mala Walk, visiting Kantju Gorge, where after rain, water can plunge 90 metres. Pause briefly before the Lungkata Walk, where you’ll hear the story of the Blue Tongue Lizard. Explore the Mutitjulu Waterhole, once an important water source, while learning about Aboriginal rock art, natural features, and traditional stories. Conclude the walk back at Kuniya Piti and return by coach to Ayers Rock Resort, enriched with knowledge of Uluru’s sacred sites and cultural heritage.
