Cradle Mountain World Heritage Adventure Day Trip from Launceston
Cradle Mountain is a stunning World Heritage listed area - we aim for around 4 – 5 hours in the National Park. After departing Launceston enjoy a stop in Sheffield – The Town of Murals.
Begin the day with one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, an easy 20 minute circuit following Pencil Pine Creek. Our main hike begins from Dove Lake with 2 walking options available. Choose your preferred main walk. The iconic Dove Lake Circuit, a 6km track, easy (2-3hrs). For the more active we offer the chance to climb to the heights of Marion’s Lookout, a 4km track but is classified as a medium with some steep sections.
Stop along the way for lunch and enjoy the famous Cradle wombats. We stop at the delicious Van Dieman’s Land Ice Creamery and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, returning to Launceston
