• Wear warm casual clothing (jeans & jacket), clothes that can get a little dirty, and enclosed sturdy footwear
• A hat and sunglasses are also advisable

Every day

Availability:

• Available every day: Departures from 5am. Total duration of experience is approximately four hours
  • Departure times vary according to the time of sunrise
• Departure Point: Northam Airfield, Withers St, Northam WA 6401
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your check-in time. Late arrivals and no-shows will not be eligible for a refund
• Bookings valid to 31 December 2025

Important:

• Flights are subject to weather conditions and minimum passenger numbers and may be altered or cancelled at the discretion of Windward Ballooning
• Check-in time for flights varies based on the time of sunrise and fluctuates depending on the time of year
• Flight time is approximately an hour, however please allow up to 4–5 hours for the entire experience
• Hot air balloon rides are shared, meaning you will likely share your ride with other guests
• There are no weight restrictions for any of the flights. At the time of booking, the weight of each passenger is collected to ensure proper weights and balances of the hot air balloon is adhered to
• Hotel transfers are not included
• Travel insurance is recommended

Terms & Conditions:

• This experience is not suitable for children aged 6 years and younger
• Children must be at least 7–12 years old, at which age they are usually tall enough to see over the edge of the basket (which is 1.2 m high) without being held up. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a supervising parent or adult guardian aged 18+
• This is not suitable for pregnant passengers
• Passengers must be in good general health to participate. All passengers must be able to climb in and out of the balloon basket, and can comfortably stand unaided for the one hour duration of the flight
• Windward Ballooning is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings, injuries, or damages sustained from participation in hot air balloon tours or tethered hot air balloon rides
