Risk Disclosure

Ziptrek Ecotours is an adventure activity that takes place at height within a forest environment, as such there are elements of risk involved. The primary risks being (but not limited to) fall from height, collision with objects, equipment failure, changing weather conditions, natural hazards (such as fire, and earthquake), slips/trips and falls. Ziptrek Ecotours will take all reasonable and practicable steps to ensure guests’ safety whilst out zipping.

Things don’t always work out, so enjoy peace of mind knowing that the following cancellation options are available to you.

• From 1 day before your chosen date, onwards - Non-refundable
• Up to 7 days after purchase (and at least 1 day before your chosen date) - 100%
• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before reservation date: no cancellation fees apply
• Cancellations within 24 hours of reservation date, late arrivals and no-shows: 100% cancellation fee applies

Changes to Booking

24 hours’ notice is required to change a booking you have made

Availability:

• Available every day: 10.20am, 1.20pm, 2pm and 5pm departures
• Guests need to check-in at the Ziptrek Treehouse (at the top of the Gondola) at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure (turn left out of the Skyline Top Terminal and walk 100 meters)
• Bookings valid to 30 September 2026

Important:

• It is advised to reconfirm your tour at least 24 hours prior to tour date by calling 0800 947 873 or visiting the booking office 45 Camp Street, Queenstown
• Guests are required to wear closed-toe footwear and encouraged to bring another layer of clothing year-round due to alpine location
• Skyline Gondola ticket is not included in this offer, and guests will need to purchase separately
• Guests are recommended to allow a minimum of 40 minutes to access the upper Skyline complex from the base terminal, or at least 60 minutes during peak time
• Please keep personal belongings to a minimum as storage is limited. You will not be able to take bags and purses on the tour, and these will need to be stored
• Cameras and phones are welcome, however must be secured in a pocket or via a strap
• Please allow approximately three hours for this experience

Terms & Conditions:

• Participant Consent Form: Every guest who participates on a tour is required to read and sign the Participation Consent Form. This can be completed by guests beforehand via this link or alternatively can be completed at check-in at the Ziptrek Treehouse. For guests ages 17 years and under, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian. Guests aged 15–17 years inclusive may participate on tour without a parent or guardian, but they MUST have the Participant Consent Form completed on their behalf by someone aged 18+
• The minimum weight for this experience is 30kg and the maximum weight limit is 125kg
• This experience is not suitable for children under 6 years of age
• All guests under the age of 15 years must be accompanied on tour by a full-paying adult
• Tours operate in almost all weather conditions. Ziptrek reserves the right to cancel tours due to events beyond its control. In these events, full refunds will be made, or alternate dates offered
