We had an amazing stay at Crowne Plaza Burwood over New Year’s while my family was visiting from the UK. With a party of 8, our booking was a bit complex, but Karen from the Reservations team was incredibly helpful and made the whole process seamless. Huge thanks also to Ari from the front office team, who was a warm and friendly presence throughout our stay. The rooftop pool and bar was a highlight for us and was the perfect spot for everyone to unwind and recover from jet lag, with stunning 360° views of greater Sydney. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. If you’re lucky enough to score a city-view room with a balcony, it offers a truly unique perspective of the Sydney skyline. The onsite café was also a great amenity, perfect for a coffee or quick bite when you’re not after a full breakfast. I must admit I was a bit sceptical staying outside of the CBD, but the hotel’s location near Burwood Station made getting into the CBD super easy. Having stayed at many IHG properties, this was hands down one of the best guest experiences I’ve had. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mary at Crowne Plaza Burwood went above and beyond to make my aunt and uncle’s stay truly special. From the moment we dined at the restaurant, her warm demeanor and attentive service stood out. She made us feel welcome, accommodated all our requests, and ensured everything ran smoothly. What really impressed me was how Mary stepped in when there were a few issues with room service. Without hesitation, she took charge, personally ensuring that my aunt and uncle, visiting from NZ, were well taken care of. Her kindness and dedication made all the difference during their stay. Thank you, Mary, for your professionalism, empathy, and exceptional service. Crowne Plaza Burwood is lucky to have you, and we will certainly be back because of you!

This hotel is so poorly looked after, I would think they are working towards closing it down. The first two rooms they tried to put us in, the walls were urgently in need of a paint, there were literally over 30 scuff marks and patches on every wall right up to shoulder height, my own home doesn't look like this and I certainly don't pay hundred of dollars to stay somewhere that does. We had three people staying in the room, one chair, some ill fitting rugs and one bedside table, my older child described it as "it looks like the place had been robbed". The pool area is filthy with bandaids and in urgent needs of a scrub. The lift floor was also revolting for the duration, and it wasn't raining. There was no offer to assist with bags or finding a luggage trolley even when they saw my teenager daughter having to do this on her own due to me having other commitments. Crowne you should be appalled, sell this hotel and the managing staff with it they are doing your brand an injustice.
