I am a long time Disneyland goer but had always stayed at hotels across the street on Harbor. Last year, my husband and I splurged and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and we can never go back! We stayed again this year and had an equally enjoyable stay. I am somewhat of a hotel snob, and we typically stay in luxury resorts and hotels. The Disneyland hotel has a resort feel, with beautiful lush greenery all around the resort and a large pool area. The rooms are very clean and I love the magical touches throughout the resort, which is different than the Grand Californian, which I feel lacks Disney touches. On our first day last year, we stayed in a pool view room and the view was perfect, we were directly facing the Disneyland monorail pool slide. This time, we stayed in a parking lot view room, but the view was so much better than I anticipated. We could see a parking lot in the distance, but our entire view was a jungle of greenery. The hotel is literally steps from downtown Disney and the security lines. When the monorail is working, it is also just about a 1-minute walk to hop on the monorail and ride it into Disneyland Park. I only have one negative to say about this hotel. Out of the three Disney resorts in California, this is the only one that does not have a special or direct access to the parks. The Grand Californian has an entrance directly into California adventure, and the new Pixar place has a special gate that goes directly into California adventure as well. The Disneyland hotel does not officially have access to either of those entrances and I do think that guests of the Disneyland Hotel should be allowed to use either of these entrances if they are not given their own special entrance, especially since the Disneyland hotel is typically more expensive than Pixar. With that said, I will continue staying at this hotel. It really adds to the magic of your stay and for us it is worth the added cost.

My family and I had a great stay here. Everyone from the minute we go there to the time we left were are fantastic. They all seemed happy to be there, great attitude, polite, respectful, and very attentive. They answered all of our questions and encouraged us to ask more if we had any doubt about anything whatsoever The store downstairs is very convenient. It has many great souvenirs. Check in is very easy and check out is automatic so you don’t have to worry about that. We got to see the Fireworks from our room. Great view. We will definitely be back
