We stayed at SO/ Auckland for the weekend of Hyrox, and it was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and seamless. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff made us feel welcome right away. We opted for valet parking, which was incredibly convenient—they stored our car safely and always had it back within 10 minutes when we needed it. Our room was spotless and well-appointed, with a stunning harbour view that added a special touch to our stay. After a long day of competing, the pool, spa, and sauna facilities were an absolute treat—clean, well-maintained, and never too crowded. It was exactly what we needed to recover! Breakfast was another highlight. There was a great selection of food, and the omelette station was a nice touch. It was the perfect way to start the day before heading out. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to Britomart and Auckland CBD, making it super easy to explore the city. And when it was time to leave, checkout was as easy as dropping off our key and walking out the door—no hassle at all. What really stood out was the friendly and attentive staff. They were always happy to help and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt! I booked a night for myself, just to relax and sleep the whole night (as a mum of a toddler, I haven't slept much in the last year). The stay was great and exactly what I needed to have some me-time and unwind. I loved all the little welcome touches. The room size was amazing!! Having the separate space to just chill on the sofa and watch a movie while enjoying some room service dinner was a nice addition. I also enjoyed the canapes on the members' club floor. The spa was ok, but feels a bit enclosed as it's in the basement. The bed was so comfortable and the blackout curtains worked amazingly to have a peaceful and quiet night. The breakfast was yummy. Would come back again with my husband for a couple's night away.

The rooms were stunning—modern, luxurious, and spotless, with breathtaking views of the city and harbor. Every detail, from the chic design to the comfortable beds, was perfect. The location was unbeatable—right in the heart of Auckland, close to shopping, dining, and attractions. The rooftop bar was a highlight, offering amazing drinks and a vibrant atmosphere with spectacular views. SO/ Auckland exceeded all our expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a stylish, comfortable, and unforgettable stay!

Our room (301) was amazing, a great space but maybe a little 'over-designed'. The lightening was dark and sultry but not practical. But the amazing bathtub was spot-on. The terrace of the executive being immediately outside the windows was a little confronting as the club was in use when we checked in but we weren't around too much after that whilst it was open so we didn't feel like we were in a goldfish bowl too much. Room service breakfast menu was quite small, the roof top bar was great and the overall feel was edgy and stylish. All the staff w impeccable.
