Absolutely LOVED this hotel, the people and the location. We booked this hotel for four nights and when I checked in, I was given the opportunity to upgrade my room to one on the top floor that was on the corner and had THREE balconies! I took it and was so pleased with the view to see sunrises and sunsets! The room itself was very comfortable. The bed was great, temperature was cool like I prefer, great bathroom products and very clean. The people were all the best which turned this stay into such an experience! They were so friendly and helpful, remembering my name and offering great suggestions! You must get the breakfast- SUCH a huge selection with high quality foods!! And beautiful view! The location was the best too- so walkable everywhere. This is the only place we will stay when we come back to Bordeaux!

Amazing and beautiful hotel in the heart of Bordeaux! The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially Georges the concierge who arranged two wonderful days of chateau visits in Medoc and St. Emilion. I highly recommend this fabulous hotel in this historic city.

I booked my wife and two children into the intercontinental Bordeaux last Saturday. I’m happy to report that they were well looked after by your staff. The room was everything we’ve come to expect from your hotel group and my girls (Charlie 8 & Willow 6) throughly enjoyed the swimming pool. I regularly stay at the intercontinental in central London and no matter how long it’s been between stays they always make me feel I’ve come home. I’m happy to report that Bordeaux has that same philosophy and I thank you looking after my family. Food was excellent value.

We were in Bordeaux for a couple of days and decided to visit the Intercontinental to enjoy a drink and dessert in the lobby. We had been there the day before with friends and had a great experience. This time, we sat at a table with our baby in the lobby, waiting to order while chatting and texting our friends to join us. After about 30 minutes, a waiter approached us. We thought he was coming to take our order, but instead, he told us the table was reserved and that, unfortunately, there was no space available. We explained that we had been sitting there for 30 minutes, but he insisted the table was reserved. He even falsely claimed that the queue at the restaurant was for the lobby as well as the restaurant. I argued, explaining that I am familiar with the hotel and know the queue is only for the restaurant. Despite this, he continued to insist, creating a scene that drew the attention of everyone around us. At that point, we decided we didn’t want to stay anymore. It was only then that he apologized, admitted we were right, and sent another waiter to take our order. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience
