• If you change your travel plans and let Switched on Bikes know at least 24 hours prior to the tour date, you’ll recieve a full refund
• However, if your ship, plane or bus is delayed and you let Switched on Bikes know anytime before departure, you’ll recieve a full refund

Changes to Booking

24 hours’ notice is required to change a booking you have made

• Water bottle, sunscreen, and an extra layer as the bays can be windy
• Please, no loose fitting clothing or extra long jackets
• Dress bright, it’s good to be seen and remember your sense of adventure!

Availability:

• Available every day: Departs 10.30am; returns approximately 1pm (Tour will run for 2–2.5 hours)
• Bookings valid to 31 May 2026
• Departure Point: Shed One, Queens Wharf, Wellington Waterfront (beside Dockside Restaurant and Fergs Kayaks)
• Please arrive up to 15-minutes prior to departure time if you can
• Arriving by cruise ship: Please take the free port-operated shuttle bus into the city and get off at the first stop called ‘Shuttle Stop #1 Brandon St’. From there walk down Brandon St to the Wellington Waterfront. Turn right and follow the water’s edge until you see Switched on Bikes signs - we’re right beside Dockside Restaurant and Fergs Kayaks. You can find a map under ‘Contact’ on Switched on Bikes website or put Switched on Bikes into Google Maps - they’re about a 6 min walk from the bus stop

Important:

• This tour is run on regular bikes as it’s flat and easy riding, if you prefer electric riding just note this when you book - there’s no extra charge
• The minimum height for an electric bike is 145cm, there is no minimum height for a regular bike
• Whilst there is no minimum age, the tour’s content is aimed at adults, and all children must be accompanied by an adult
• The riding is easy but you should be stable riding a bike, comfortable getting on and off to walk across roads and be able to safely ride between pedestrians while on shared paths

Terms & Conditions:

• The tour requires a minimum of two people to go ahead. The tour operator will be in contact prior if they don’t reach two riders for your selected date
• If the weather isn’t suitable and safe for riding, the tour operator will provide a full refund
• Itinerary is subject to change depending on availability, weather and road conditions
• Switched on Bikes cannot be held accountable for any tour cancellations or changes caused by weather conditions, road hazards, vehicle malfunctions, or other unexpected circumstances that may impede the scheduled tour. Switched on Bikes retains the right to cancel or alter any trip due to uncontrollable factors, including but not limited to weather conditions, mechanical issues, as well as limited or unavailable parking on-site
